Good Morning LL!

Did everyone have a good weekend? Yesterday was one of those days where I didn't want to do much and Clyde had an awesome day. Yesterday in the morning he was at 51 and in the afternoon at 69.

This morning he wasn't quite as good - he posted a nice borderline 104. I think it's the EVO Venison that is causing it. According to Dr. Pierson's chart that stuff is 6% carbs, the Duck is 5, while the beef and chicken are 4 & 2 respectively. I'll be able to tell with more certainty once I use up the frozen foodsicles because I have no idea what type of EVO I'm pulling out of the freezer.

If it is that, I need to figure out a way to mitigate it until I use up the case.

Could be on the 6%, but still an awesome number for Clyde.

I've noticed with Mikey that he does best on anything 5% carbs or less. It's amazing how much only 1% can affect BGs, isn't it? :lol: An idea for mitigating the "higher" carbs is to add a bit more protein to it to lower the carb from calories percentage. You can add up to 20% of pure protein to their diet each day.

1% can definitely make a difference. Once I use up the foodsicles, which should be by this weekend, I will be able to try and track if it is the food or possibly a natural cycle. He posted a nice green 77 tonight. Unfortunately, I don't know what type I actually fed him this morning :smile:
