11/24 Recap
AMPS - 326
+5.5 - 175
+8 - 172
PMPS - 341
+3 - 349
+4.5 - 288

Cleo has 4 P's in place today. Appy is just so-so. I will have to make some additions to her food :-D She is acting happy (for her) and normal :-D
I wonder if these high numbers may have anything to do with switching to the calipers? Although it seems like I am giving her more insulin, than if I was eyeballing it. We shall she what happens, could just be NDW!

Have a great Monday LL

Re: 11/25 Cleo AMPS 366

Morning Jane :-D
Good that Miss Cleo is feeling well, now time to surf on down to the happy place, sweetest kitty-o! Something I wonder with starting to use calipers is if their bodies are getting used to a consistent dose. When I was checking all my syringes and noticing the vast difference in dose from on to another it made sense to me that kitties numbers bounced around so much. Now he is getting his first ever flat cycles and I KNOW that's from the consistent dosing. I also think tweaking is in order because what we set as 'givens' may not be what their bodies think is the normal 'dose'. Wonder if that makes any sense?

Have a beautiful day Jane!

Re: 11/25 Cleo AMPS 366

I'm glad Cleo is feeling good this morning. I hope she'll slide down today. Her numbers could be from the calipers. If you were measuring a different dose before because you were eyeballing it, the dose will be different now. The good thing about calipers is from now on you will have a consistent dose. You many have to tweak her dose to get her back on track if the dose was slightly different before the calipers.

Morning Jane ~O) ~O) ~O)

Come on down Cleo, the lower floors await you.

Good luck with the calipers. I would think they would allow for more consistent dosing. One of those things I never tried out.

Have a great day today. I hope all goes well. And Cleo - think blue!

Re: 11/25 Cleo AMPS 366

Good Morning Jane
Come on back down a couple of colors Miss Cleo ;-)
I keep trying to tell you you look much better in Blue or Green
Maybe it is the calipers, just like the syringe switch we all did awhile back. Good luck with her dose ;-)
Have a great day Jane!

Cleo, your +5.5 is a VERY lovely number!!! You should stick around in those numbers, ok?! Hope you're having a good evening, Jane! Sleep well.

Hi Jane,
I'm glad to see that Cleo has come down to blue! :-D

It's interesting you end up giving more insulin with calipers.
I guess it depends on which brand of syringes you are using.
With BD, I was definitely giving more when eyeballing.

Hi Jane

Yes, you could see some variation when you start using calipers and might need to adjust the dose. Why? Because, even if you used my numbers from the Terumos, your dose (even if it is still the same) before the change to calipers might have been quite different due to the in accuracy of the syringes.

More blue!!
