Rain fell last night.
Muddy mewed all up and down the hallway...
She'd sit and stare at me,
Wide eyed,
I told her,
She looked away,
and then,
returned to stare at me.
I explained,
and her chin dropped,
she took a walk,
and looked in all his places,
their places, our places.
She slept in his spot last night,
morning rain woke us both early,
She is sleeping now on his pillow,
in his window,
how very tiny she looks.
