Yesterday's slide

Zener is doing ok this morning. We love that AMPS and dip in the lagoon. Appy had stalled a bit but picked up after a tummy massage. He's napping on Versailles under the heating vent. :-D :-D

OT: I put out the trap last night but Stella the skunk did not make an appearance. She must not like snow. Tillie had a good appy and she's napping in her heated hut (we call it the Pyramid, she thinks she's Cleopatra   ).

Thinking of ailing kitties and beans. Sending comfort vines down the hill to Marje and Mike and to all beans who miss their GA kitties. We miss them too. Cheering on the kitties on OTJ trials - Monet, Clyde, Shadow, and Mr. Cat - you can do it!!!   Happy Sunday, LL!

Yippee!!   Good job, Z!
I love the image of Tillie in her Pyramid ~ and heated! Sweet :-D
I'm glad the snow is keeping Stinky Stella away.

I hope you all enjoy your Sunday :-D

Re: 11/24 Zener AMPS 111;+2.5 99

Smart kitties finding warm places to sleep. Nice numbers for Zener this morning.

Re: 11/24 Zener AMPS 111;+2.5 99;+4.5 111

Hi, Liz and Anne!
I like Zener's today's number... 111 - 99 - 111.
Looks like he should win something......

I'm glad Zener's appy picked up, and also glad Tillies eating well.

Re: 11/24 Zener AMPS 111;+2.5 99;+4.5 111

111 - must be a lottery number. We had one of those to start and Trixie is sporting one too. Looks like a great cycle for Zener today.

Re: 11/24 Zener AMPS 111;+2.5 99;+4.5 111

Hi Liz & Anne,

Nice surf that Mr. Z has going on there :-D Hope you have a quiet, uneventful Sunday night ~ (No Stella visits!)

Stay warm :-D

Re: 11/24 Zener PMPS 344

I agree with Wendy...between Trix, Neko, and Zener and all the 111s, I'm gonna go buy a Pick 3 tomorrow! Nice day for the kitties there....have a wonderful evening, guys!

Re: 11/24 Zener PMPS 344

HI Anne, Liz :-D

I sure loved this morning. But Z-Man, what happened tonight? Pink is not a manly color... you had best come down.

Darn bounces anyways!

Have a great evening. :-D

Re: 11/24 Zener PMPS 344; ~1 TRAPPED

Somewhere between the PMPS picnic and +1, the trap tripped and voila - STELLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAA was trapped. There is just no messing with the mighty Z!

Havahart humane trap

The kitties were very interested in all the commotion. In the trip of a switch, Detective Poo transformed to Trapper Jane - and she is off with the skunk for release a few miles from our house down 89A - Oak Creek Canyon - one of the most scenic drives in the western US. I do believe this action should earn Detective Poo the long-awaited promotion to Detective Sergeant Poo.

@Amy & TrixieCat - good luck with the pick 3. Happy hunting.

@Michelle - we needed your photographic skills here to document the big hunt and release. Agreed on those darn bounces!

Yard patrol has resumed with much sniffing going on.

Re: 11/24 Zener PMPS 344; ~1 TRAPPED

I hope Stella likes her new digs. Good job, Trapper Jane!

You can come down, now, Z Man. The excitement is passed.

Have a fine evening, sans skunk, guys!

Re: 11/24 Zener PMPS 344; ~1 TRAPPED

I had to search for these....
Once upon a time (these pics are from 1994, where did the years go!?!), I did a good bit of wildlife rehab. We were asked to foster a surrendered "exotic pet" for a few weeks. It was an albino skunk. He had his scent glands removed prior to sale, but he still did carry that "skunk smell", but it was very mild. He was actually a pretty cool animal to have around, even if we couldn't let him roam around the house because the kitties didn't find him "cool" at all. So he lived on our porch. He'd let you pet him, but he had really scary claws/nails and teeth, so I never did try to snuggle him.
He was a true albino, pink eyes and all. And very low maintenance. We did find him a furever home, and he got to live in a natural environment once he was adopted.

This is "Flower" (we didn't name him, and the name was far too obvious).

Liz, I can't blame you for relocating Stella. Not a scent you want around the homestead very often. :-D And if it came down to a fight, I'm guessing the skunk would cause you some sky high vet bills.

Re: 11/24 Zener PMPS 344; ~1 TRAPPED

Whoo hoo, Trapper Jane!!

Good job, and I hope there is no release of odor in the car

Mr Z - it is safe to slide down now :-D

Re: 11/24 Zener PMPS 344; ~1 TRAPPED

Zener! Weren't you enjoying those blues? Did the excitement outside get you going???

Good job, Liz. Bet that was a fun drive

Re: 11/24 Zener PMPS 344; +3.5 143 TRAPPED

I'm glad Stella is geting transported in style to a new venue. Maybe, she'll find her own Pepe Le Pew and be happily ever after -- somewhere else!

Re: 11/24 Zener PMPS 344; +3.5 143 TRAPPED

Well, well, back to blue. Guess the post-trapping excitement is over now.

@Ella & Rusty - we hope Stella settles in and finds another neighborhood to garbage pick in. Our backyard is pretty primo with all the bird food and cat food crumbs. We try to co-exist but this one was getting a little aggressive. :?

@Pam & Hoot - he is on his way down.

@Carl - what great photos of Flower and you are sure right about the round physique! We wish we could find a place that would take Stella, she is quite beautiful. She was getting pretty cheeky too and would not run off when we tried to frighten her. Two nights ago, she was in a spitting and hissing confrontation with Zener over crumbs on his picnic table. Swats were exchanged and Stella sprayed. And then Stella ran right toward Tillie. We had some clean up to do with Zener, fortunately it wasn't a direct hit. With mixed feelings we decided Stella had to be moved. We couldn't risk Zener getting injured in a fight. We have paws crossed she adjusts to the forest and lives a long life.

@Cleo & Jane - no release of odor in the car and Trapper Jane had a successful release.

@Marje & Gracie - he's back to blue now in rather dramatic fashion. Pretty big drop will guarantee another test in a bit. Liz said the drive was pretty uneventful. I'm sure a full report will be in Zener's AM condo.

All is quiet at our house now. Zener appears to be on the express elevator down from the stinky pinky floor.

YAY on the successful trapping and transporting of Stella! And better yet...YAY on Zener blues!
