Interesting, he is the same value as he was at PMPS+6 last night. I expect he's on the rise now though. He is in a good mood - playful, whiney (normal) and happy.

So far he had a fairly solid poo this morning, no diarrhea .. unlike yesterday. My regular vet emailed me back (i emailed him last night really pissed off after two glasses of wine - see previous condo) and we are going to do fecal samples and pick up more metronizadole this morning. It gets weirder though, my mum called and her cats have it now too. My parents visited on Saturday so did they somehow "catch" it and take it home and pass to their cats? How is that even possible? If bacteria or protozoas need a warm moist environment to live.. how did my parents possible catch it and transfer it home ( 2hours away) and then to their cats? - its not like we have piles of warm poo everywhere for them to step in.. This thing seems as contagious as a cold virus.. Hopefully the fecal will tell us something!!

Re: 11/24 Tiggy AMPS 79 - highly contagious diarrhea?

It can be possible if humans act as carriers. It's also possible to transmit the problem if this is a fungal infection. Fungus spores are notoriously hardy and can withstand temperature extremes. It could also be coincidence. I'd check with your parents to see if they fed their cats differently over the holiday.

Oh man contagious diarrhea??!! That sucks, never heard of it but I guess anything is possible. Sorry! Nice amps this morning! Hope you get the results back soon. Have a great Caturday!

Maybe a fungus. We didn't have the holiday here in Canada, our thanksgiving was October so they would have been fed the same.
