Will test again in a little over an hour. Looks like I am going with 1U or maybe 1.1U? (since she is eating now, I assume it will go up)

I think that AMPS 411 is a reaction to her 161 yesterday, she hasn't seen a blue for a while.

1.1u is good for today, I hope she has another great day.

(+11) PMPS 376 This is at +11, so if I were to let her ride till +12, she would probably be higher. But I want to move her slightly earlier in my shooting. Anyhow, I don't know if we take into account that this is +11, not +12. With these numbers, she is down 35 points from PS to PS. Do I stay at 1.1U?
 
We do take into account the early shot but with these higher numbers it doesn't change things that much. Giving more insulin won't make it last longer so if you shoot 1 hour earlier then she will have to go an extra hour longer in the morning and you can expect a higher number. Can you move her shot time up by 1/2 hour at a time.

I think I'd shoot .9 or 1 unit after looking at last night, we don't know what she did last night and why she was so high this morning. So I would play it safe at night. Just my thoughts.
 
Whoops---wish I had waited, but I have just too much to do tonight, and am just about to give fluids. I shot 1.1. Holding my breathe that that was not a mistake. I will test her at least at +3. If she seems really to be dropping, I will try to test again during the night. (argggh)
 
Thanks, that is comforting. I have slightly higher carb food to leave out for her if she seems very low.
On a better note, just gave her fluids without a hitch. She was a little uncomfortable and restless, but stayed. And she has also been taking her pill 2x/day. I give her 15mg in the am and 7.5 at night---so I don't have to go through the pill routine 3x/day. I hold my breathe each time, but so far she has been taking it.
 
That's wonderful that she's taking her pills, makes life much easier. And yay for easy fluids.

Don't work too hard tonight getting ready for turkey day.
 
Sorry, I turned in early. She was probably ok but you never know. She's probably going to be a little high in the morning because of the carbs but don't react to it, it will wear off.
