Here's yesterday...

Today: AMPS 302 +2.5 221 +5 240 PMPS 256

All is well here this AM, will call this a high yellow I think! Sooty's in a nice mood this morning, purring and NOT crying for food - so that is a nice start to the day!

This is Sooty's longest time at one dose for quite some time - the 5th day now at 8.0u - so once we are happy that he's stabilized after the dental, it'll be time to switch over to the Levemir... maybe tomorrow...??

Pat, Devon, thanks for dropping by!

Pat, the vet suggested 30% drop on switching to Lev, which, from current dose of 8.0 (which is still not enough it would seem,) would be 5.6u - so I'm thinking to start out at 6.0 of Lev (and keep a very close eye on him...)

I just wanted to mention that maybe Sooty takes his time to respond to doses like my Ollie.
I have found that Ollie takes sometimes even 6 cycles or more to notice I've changed his dose. I can be just about to change the dose when all of a sudden he decides it's a good dose! My Shadoe notices quicker; I've been wondering if he just does not care much LOL.

So, tomorrow is going to be Levemir Day for Sooty - we will try him at 6.0u to start with.

We know (thanks to advice you've given us!) that switching insulins, just in and of itself, often seems to trigger some lower numbers - so we'll be keeping a close on on him...
