Yesterday was two beautiful cycles and combined with the one before was enough to cause a liver panic today. :roll:

11/23 Recap:

Not sure if today's bounce was due to a lower number last night or just too many good cycles in a row. Neko's liver can't seem to handle that many good cycles in a row. Oh well, she's recovering in the sunshine again today. We did have a good lap cuddle after breffs and she's even 5P already today.

Question: two weeks ago when I took Neko if for her wellness exam, vetty found a red spot on the gum and said to keep an eye on it and check again in 2 weeks. It was either a sore from a piece of bone in her raw diet which would heal in 2 weeks or a cavity. Well, it's still there, so I'm suspecting cavity. Anyone have experience in treating these? Neko's teeth look fine, at least above the gum line.

I hope the bounce is short-lived.

I am sorry about the possible cavity. :sad:
I don't have any experience in this, but I am hoping nothing too painful for Neko.......
Is it one on the big teeth?

Hi Wendy - I hope Neko recovers from her bounce quickly. Sorry to hear the spot is still there. Poor Neko, I hope it's not a cavity.

I hope Neko clears the bounce soon. I don't know anything about cavities in cats. I hope it's not a cavity and heals soon.

I didn't even know cats could get cavities - so no help there. Could it be a sore spot that she just keeps irritating? I hope it clears up without becoming a big deal.

Curious, I didn't know cats could get cavities! Ophie had a red spot on her gums once... gosh, it was years ago now... turns out, it was an infection from a cut she got (maybe from toy or rough playing with her sister?). Cleared up quickly with some antibiotics. I hope whatever it is goes quickly. And also that she clears her bounce today quickly as well. :smile:

No help from me either. Just wish she would clear that darn bounce and come down already. Hope the spot is just a canker sore. (do cat's get those)?

Hi Wendy

I've never heard it called a cavity, but Checks was prone to FORLS...Feline Oral Resorptive Lesions...basically a cavity at or below the gumline. As far as I know, it can't be repaired and must be extracted.
I hope that isn't what Neko has.

Both Curry and Sid had the FORLS that Barbara referred to....they start from inside the tooth and work their way to the outside....the opposite from a cavity. Can make the gum red.

No clue on the cavities, have heard of what the others are referring too. I have no experience with either....

Hope your day was good, and that Neko will find the lower floors. Mannie never could handle too many good days in a row either.

Just a quick 180 from Neko today. :roll: I heading back to a friends place for dessert and might be on later. Thanks all for visiting the trampoline artist today.

Thanks for the notes on FORL - I had heard that was one type of cavity but there were others. Looks like a vetty follow up is in order. The mouth doesn't seem to be bothering Neko.
