11/24 Mandarin AMBG 120, +3 129, +8 86, PMBG 145, +3 71 - giving up on OTJ Trial ... maybe

Yesterday's condo

I guess that 129 marks the official end of Mandarin's OTJ trial. Instead, he'll get to celebrate his 4th post-diagnosis anniversary tomorrow. Still hard to believe that it's been that long.

Now the big question is: What dose should I start him on? I am leaning towards 0.1.

I'd get another test in today and see where he is. Sometimes they pop a few blues during a trial.

Well, he did manage to come back down to 86 on his own... now if only he could keep it there.

Is Mandarin getting a small snack at +8 or +9? If not, that might kick start the pancreas in time for preshot.

Good luck with the trial. They always like to do some funny stuff during the trial.

He didn't get the 0.1 dose before starting the trial so if the blues continue he might benefit from a bit more support. Fingers crossed.

I think he is determined to drive his bean crazy. He was all the way up to 145 for his PMBG (despite a snack at +8) and I had pretty much made up my mind to start him back on the juice tomorrow. But three hours later, his BG is at a lovely 71. And now I am once again unsure... and wide awake.

My alarm is set for 4 am and I will see if a later snack might help (he usually eats around 2 or 3 am).
