11/24 Emma AMBG 108; +4 56

When I give her a bit of insulin, she got snacks at +2 and +5. In the past few days I've been giving a snack at AMBG ~+3 or +4 (after testing, usually) and then again a couple of hours later (so +5 or +6). Should I instead save that second snack till much later?

Or do you mean because of the food stress? She has been fine lately actually until this morning. Maybe she just didn't finish her scraps enough last night... but I'll consider it!

Feed a small snack at +8 or +9. With a mostly working pancreas, that snack should cause the pancreas to kick in and bring down the numbers for those AMBG/PMBG tests. Note for any lurkers, this only works for cats on the tiniest of doses and almost at OTJ time.

What's the dry amount now?

She gets no dry food when she gets no shot. So, 0. Thanks for the info! Very interesting. I don't think I can feed wet at +8 or +9 after PMBG (it's in the middle of the night for me), but certainly I can do so for the day cycle. I'll experiment with it ASAP.
