good morning, all!
hope everyone had a good night.

was a bit of a scramble last night in cuddville...but we've resolved one of the issues affecting the B boy...the ridiculous amount of difficulty i have had getting his dose in the syringe and correctly measured. i truly think that this is the first shot in the last 3 that is correct in dosage and went in smoothly & completely. so...we'll see where his numbers head for the next 2 cycles.

an uphill battle on transitioning the girls into the house...but it's 2 degrees outside...so no matter how many times annie asks, they're not going back out. prior to this, they could go in and out...and the rescinding of that freedom has changed their cooperative attitude...which has caused some stress for binks. Smudge is stuck to me like glue, usurping his couch, and lap and oddly, threatening me every time i shift or get up...and annie keeps periodically venturing out from her hidey-hole in the bedroom, and is apparently suffering short-term memory loss...because she relaxes until my quiet guy moves slightly...and then she goes into shock and defense mode as if it is the first time she's seen him...

Binks is long-suffering...and the laughs to be had come from the baffled looks he gives me that clearly say "what planet are these cats FROM??"

odd days in binksworld...but we're keeping a positive attitude...and it'll work out!

Let me send you some warm breezes my dear. And some Feliway to help calm the kitties. I still have 3 of the little buggers plugged in here.....Have 3 more on reserve....Yeah never know what will cause the kitties to have increased stress/anxiety around here. :mrgreen:

tena...thanks for mentioning that in your post. just researched feliway and gonna give it a try.

anything that might help...these girls are really good considering what they've been through...but i don't know them well enough yet to understand some of their behaviors. i do know that they both took some mistreatment from the ex-brother in law, and from the nephew...and then 6 years of emotional neglect...says something about tortie personalities that they are as well-adjusted as they are.

the strange thing is annie...she is the one who is being aggressive...and i think it stems from the fact that she is so shy and desperately fears she'll be abandoned again.
well, got news for both of them...if the fact that i had to go to the ER twice within a 3 day period when i first got here due to injuries they inflicted didn't scare me off...they best get used to the fact that we're a family and realize it's gonna be "No Kitty Left Behind".

wouldnt hurt my feelings if smudge would try snore strips tho :lol:

I'm really too busy to be posting, BUT I had to comment on the "SNORE STRIPS"! :lol:
I can just picture that, hahahahaha!

And you are awesome for your "no kitty left behind" philosophy. Love it.
Now I hope Mr. Binks comes down on this new properly measured dose.

Remind me to never move to ID...although I have to say it is beautiful there and I always liked Boise but TWO degrees?

On the Feliway...shop the internet!! It is ridiculously priced at Petsmart and Petco. I always order it in bulk and shop around (I know you are astute, Celi). Sometimes Amazon has it cheapest, sometimes EntirelyPets.com. Even at reduced prices, it is still pricey if you need many but I think it helps. I hope the transitioning goes well...that's so funny about Annie esp after all that time she was in after she got lost!!

Hope the dose works now....I am totally with you on the microdosing...it's really tough!!! And what's even tougher is consistency when you don't have a line. Good luck!!

morning Celi - you've got the patience of a saint and a sweet soul to match. good luck with the adopto-cats. they'll get there.

had to laugh about a kitty in a snore strip - very funny.

I know you'll be busy tomorrow with KP at the nursing home, have a good holiday. I'm thankful for you, girlie.

morning! so agreed on the microdosing. sure wold be nice if the drug companies etc would make syringes with quarter markings.... :shock:

sorry for the pink - hope Binks can find the lower floors.

Figured you guys were really cold too. sub-zero temps in some places. brrrr! I hope the transition goes well - hopefully they all settle in soon.

love the snore strips idea! :lol: :lol:

thanks for the well-wishes...but i have to give the girls their due...

they are 2 very unique kitties...i never before have had a tortie...and now i've got two!

DOUBLE PLUS GOOD!

now i understand the pride and affection folks have in their multi-colored, multi-faceted furbabies... i'm sure there are a lot of kitties who would have given up facing the obstacles these girls have...and the most endearing thing to me, of course, is their forbearance toward binks. He thinks he's manx of the world, unwittingly assuming that they too recognize his exaltedness...o' foolish binkskabibble... :lol:

You truely have your hands full with those new kitties! I hope they will settle in and be a part of the family. When I adopted 2 kittes from a friend that passed away 2 years ago, I tried everything to get them integrated. To this day, my other civie is still scared of them. I hope you have better luck than that.

I was shocked to see Binks on the pink floor - I thought his velcro had come loose. :lol: I'm glad to see that he's coming down. Our high is supposed to be 29 today, but at least we didn't get the high winds they were forecasting. Have a great day, Celi, and stay warm.

Good luck w/ the girls, let us know how the Feliway works. I've been thinking about it. I've seen two different packages/ makers on the net, any one know if there is a difference?

Amazon.com is usually the cheapest I find for most things--I used it in the carrier, when I took them to the vets..Works somewhat!--Well worth a try with the girls--
Ever think that Binks is up because of the new cats, and stress is a factor??
Love your upbeat attitude on the kitties.
I believe what you think about, you bring about, so let them kitties know they are all gonna get along!!

Binks is giving Tess some company,the beans have been ignoring her , too busy in the kitchen. i don't know if those pumpkin pies will make it till tomorrow!
