:cry: :-Q Morning All...not too good around here though... :?

Atlas is off the charts this morning... I am really wondering if I should take his dose DOWN to 1.5 and start all over. This situation is just not acceptable anymore. Waiting for the bounce to settle out...it isn't settling out... Look what he did yesterday. If I could post a big crybaby face here I would. My other thought looking at his chart is ...taking him SID. Yes, SID.

AND

My beloved Krueger is sick. Sick, sick...vomiting and diarrhea. I thought witholding food for a bit of a fast might settle his tummy down, but he vomited right up his breakfast while trying to use the litter box at the same time. He's the one that can't go in a carrier to the vet due to his extreme claustrophobia (busted to pieces two airport quality carriers). I have to hope Dr. Blaha can see him today or maybe make a few suggestions until Friday.

Aww....it does not sound like your day is starting out very good. What's with the red Atlas....come down please.
Not sure about the dose......I think Atlas will still bounce from green.

I understand your frustration with the bouncing for it took us months for Do Lou to slow down on that and he still does but not as bad and I am sending healing vines and snowflakes for your Krueger hope you can get a vet check to see whats going ((((((Blue))))))

Gosh I'm sorry atlas is so high for you today .. I know it's frustrating only seeing high numbers and doubting yourself if you did the increases in the right way, the right amount of time, etc. ... and I'm also sorry to hear that Kreuger is not feeling well .. I hope your vet can check him out and figure out what's going on with him .... try and have a good day, ok?

Krueger was taken the animal hospital for x-rays.

X-rays revealed a huge abdominal mass. The doctor felt very confident is was intestinal lymphoma and was the reason Krueger could no longer keep food down.

With Great, Great love for the best cat...he went to the rainbow bridge this morning.

I am so so sorry about Krueger. I do know that you made the best decision, the kindest gift any of us can give out furry friends. My heart goes out to you. (HUGS!)

I hope you take comfort in the knowledge that he's no longer suffering. It's so hard to make that decision, but it's the best gift we can give them in those situations. Please accept my sincere condolences.

We are so incredibly sorry for the unexpected loss of your much beloved Krueger....(((Beth)))....you made the best decision but that doesn't make it easier on
you. What a testament of your love for him that you were willing to let him transition now so that he did not suffer going through lymphoma with such a large mass.
Also sending prayers that you will be able to figure out what is going on with Atlas.

Krueger's a beautiful baby and I"m so sorry his time with you was so short (no matter how long, it's never long enough). You gave him the biggest gift of love that there is, and he's at the bridge now.

I'm so sorry to read of the passing of Krueger....you did your very best to care for him...i know you loved him deeply and i'm very certain he loved you back...he was lucky to have you and you provided a good loving safe home for him....my thoughts and prayers are with you in this very difficult time....

I know we don't talk about or civvie cats too much, but Krueger really was the best cat.
When things like this just jump and get you...it really crushes your world.

Dear Sandy, Whitney Stacho and Deb Molnar;

I just wanted to tell you about my wonderful new home. There are huge windows looking out into the backyard and I watch the birds, squirrels, chipmunks all day. Rebel, the neighbor cat stopped by to visit the other morning and he says it is a wonderful place to live. In the evenings the night creatures come out and roam around the garden. They are kind of scary, but my furrever Mom says I am safe.

The house isn’t too big and there are lots of soft places to curl up and sleep. I even have my own cat tree to sleep on! Nobody here pulls my tail, chases me, or scares me to hide under the bed. When I get worried I go ‘talk to’ my furrever Mom and she lets me know it is all OK. I slept in her lap the other day, really fell sound asleep! There are a few special hiding places, but I don’t use them too much. I can sit up on a soft chair and look out the front windows and wait for my furrever Mom to come home from work. I greeted her at the door the other day! She was so happy to see me!

When she gets home we actually play together for about an hour! Yes, I said play! I have a catnip quilted blanket (I love the blanket) and lots of toys. Our favorite toy is the cat dancer. She gets up real early so we have time to play together in the early cat hours. When she leaves for work I get to listen to the radio all day. It is always playing softly in the background. The computer has fish swimming in it! I tried catching them, but they hide behind it.

I don’t think I have ever purred so much in my entire life! Oh, she always tells me what a good boy I am and gives me lots of kisses on my head!

Krueger has turned out to be a wonderful addition to my home. I am so glad and so lucky he picked me. If a cat can be a gentleman, Krueger is it! As far as him hiding and cowering under the bed etc., he never really did that. In fact, he avoids the bedrooms. He won’t even go in them without me. He is quite the talkative cat too. Krueger has his furrever home and will never have to be so scared ever again.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Krueger. Thank you for sharing the pictures. He does look like a great cat. From your letter, it sounds like he was very very happy to be a part of your life, and I know you will miss him deeply.

I'm so sorry to read of Krueger's passing. Such a handsome boy and I can tell he was well loved.
 
Well we pick-up and go on...

Krueger's house-call vet called this evening. She wanted to express her shock and condolences.

She spoke with the attending vet and she said it appears to have been an ailimentary (sp) lymphoma and that those type are fast growing. Generally the tumors appear and the cat has only 4-6 weeks at most with a poor prognosis if treatment is initiated. Based on what the attending vet described to her, Krueger was already stage 4.

We went through the symptoms of the past few weeks and she agreed there was nothing going on that was a big "red flag." Like I told her ...he was even up playing chase with his girlfriend Muddy last night.

May the big guy rest in peace now.


And so Atlas tonight gives me a 323 pre-shot. I'm not too terribly distressed about it...when I left this morning with Krueger I had left Muddy's kibble available. I thought I had put it up, but in my own distress...I thought I did a lot of things.

Again thank you to the forum and LL for your sympathies today.
 
Dear Beth, You gave your Krueger the best gift of love by releasing him from his pain. What a wonderful kitty he must have been, and what a lovely home you gave him. It is so hard to say farewell, but it is "farewell" and not "goodbye". Krueger is at the bridge, being greeted by our GAs, and someday you will meet again. Fly free, dear Krueger. You are much loved.

i'm so sorry for your loss.
my best friend cleo went GA on halloween so i'm still in shock and tremendous grief, too.
really the only consolation is that it was quick and you made sure krueger did not suffer. someday you will look back on that and be so grateful.
so sorry.
