Yesterday's Condo
I think I may have furshot yesterday AM. He was at 178 at +5 last night, so the 188 was actually a bit of a pleasant surprise. I'm working at home today (or was. work is done!), so the kids have been hanging out with me. We just had a bit of unwanted excitement. Willie was outside and so I took Herbie out on her lead. She was NOT pleased and managed to get away with the lead. ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile After streaking about the entire fence line, she ended up in one of my huge trees. After 20 minutes of her crying, Willie crying, and me up on a ladder just praying that the neighbors didn't decide to let out their golden retriever at that moment, Herbie finally jumped/fell into the neighbor's yard. Thankfully the chain link fence was low and i was able to grab the lead and scoop her up. I think that will be the beginning and end of the Outdoor Adventures of the Bit Bit. I did get a little lucky. After getting her in the house and loving on her for a bit, I went out to put away the ladder, and who should greet me but the dog!
Willie's now snuggled with me on the sofa, though I need to get started on Thanksgiving prep which means one more quick trip to the grocery store for a couple last minute needs... cake mix and cream cheese for Paula Deen's Gooey Pumpkin Butter Cake. Think a cross between pumpkin pie and pumpkin cheesecake... ON CRACK! It involves two sticks of butter and a pound of powdered sugar. But is very tasty and will be good for sharing. DS has to work from 1:30 to 10:00pm tomorrow at CVS so I'll be taking thanksgiving dinner to her and a couple co-workers.
Hope that all who are traveling arrive safe and sound to their destinations and everyone enjoys their holiday!!
