Re: 11/23 Toby's AMS=157
Thank you for the mention Peg. I could ride Zak all day and forget that we were two, it was like we were one being. I guess it can feel like that with any horse if you ride them all day. But, he was special. I adopted him when he was 4 years old and unbroke. I trained him. The first time I sat on his back, we were alone. It was night and there was a lunar eclipse. I just felt the time was right, right then. And he did fine. I got on and off and repeated on both sides. He was a doll, and never ever bucked in his life. He would willingly go through anything and anywhere and I asked him to go. One time I saw smoke, and hopped on bare back with only a halter and lead rope and we ran to a barn fire which was filled with horses, and I was able to catch one horse by wrapping my flannel shirt around it's neck. And Zak was an Arabian, which aren't known for being so docile. I think it was just me. He trusted me so much. Too much maybe. On narrow rocky trails, he would be enjoying himself and watching the scenery, the birds and the deer, and I would have to carefully be watching the trail and the rocks and guide his feet so he stayed on the trail
Nice AMPS. I would start with a +2 today.
