Goodness sakes, what an unusual day for PollyD. First, her numbers are way wonky. Sure wish I'd done a check overnight, but I slept through the cell alarm at +7. A few more cycles and I'll re-evaluate the dose, unless she does some way high zooms. And second, the girl has been full of beans today. Oh, yes, we all napped lots this afternoon, but when she's awake....zoom, zoom, zoom. Yeowl, Yeowl, Yeowl. Zoom. Perhaps there's some connection. Dunno. But those short little legs can really turn her into a fully-charged battery operated zoom toy.

Yes, and tonight was another odd shot. No smell on Polly, just my hands. I am going to really slow down and pay focused attention on shots from now on. Think I'm just too complacent? I am even going to watch some video demos. I must be doing something wrong. I just don't know what.

Vines and wishes.

Definitely an "interesting" cycle for Polly today. I love that she gets the zoomies, though....that's one of my favorite features of kitties! Well that, and snuggling, and sleeping, and eating, and just being.

It's odd that you smell insulin on your hands, but not on Polly's fur. Could there be something up with the syringes themselves? Hopefully Polly got a full dose of juice tonight. Have a great evening, Marilyn!

Cripes, I had a whole message typed out and lost it!! ohmygod_smile I hope I can remember even a 1/2 of what I was trying to say... @-)

Polly is looking really good- she has come down the dosing scale so far, it is amazing- congratulations! Now, regarding the smell of Lantus on your hands- this happens to me a lot (the fur shots) However, I wonder if somehow you are touching the tip of the syringe after removing it from her>? Is Polly wiggly at all about getting her shots?> Often I have noticed there will be a small drop of insulin on the tip of that needle and it you get your hand bumped, it could get on your hands and it does have a strong smell(which I don't care for!) But usually if I did a furshot, I can definitely smell it on Tiger's fur, so I am hopeful Polly got her juice tonight and is simply bouncing.

Have a good evening and I hope you sleep well, you were very busy the other night!!

These cats sure don't like to be predictable. Maybe the high before the low tonight? Or giving you a night off. Who knows.

I find that sometime when I flick the drops off the top of the needle, they land on me. So I end up with a Lev smell, but Neko does not. I think the true test is the cat fur sniff test. I presume you've seen Marje's post on Testing and Shooting Tips. Of course, our long haired girls make it a little more interesting.

Since when have ANY of our cats been that considerate? lol

I sure hope Polly is giving you a night off, though....

After tonight Pollygirl, come on down more like your AMPS number, k?

  zoom zoom zoom yeowl yeowl zoom!!!! You go, silly girl! But how about you get those numbers under control, ok?! Glad you got some sleep and lots of naps in today! Scritches for Polly!
