I didn't feel comfortable about giving insulin this morning. Where I can't monitor so I skipped. I have a reminder email for Molly's HCP Feline Nobivac/Continuum - triannual and rabies for next month. Should she still get those?
I noticed lately she's not eating as much, is that because her numbers are better?

For what I’ve read on here, I think it’s common for cats to be less ravenous/hungry after their numbers decrease. Biggie was the opposite - he felt crummy when his numbers were higher and he didn’t have a good appetite and has been eating better since his numbers went down. Do you think she’s eating enough for her weight? (Approx. 20 calories per pound).

I have read that vaccines aren’t recommended for diabetic cats or any cats with major health issues. My cat also has ibs and is on budesonide, and he’s older, so weighing all those things together my vet actually doesn’t think it is a good idea to vaccinate him. Vaccines last so much longer than they say - I’ve heard studies show the one year rabies vaccine lasts at least 7 years. Other vaccines have been confirmed to confer life-long antibodies (like for panleukopenia). Some vets have a hard line about vaccinations and others are more forgiving. A lot of areas have laws about rabies, so there is that to consider too. There hasn’t been a known case of a cat giving anyone rabies in 40 years in the US…and most of us have indoors cats, as well. If they go out that is another consideration, but since vaccines last years, it’s still less of a concern.

ETA I see you are in B.C. so I have no idea how big of sticklers they are there..hopefully not so much.

Molly eats more when her numbers are higher. But I have found lately with her numbers in the blue, that she doesn't eat as much . She'll have her breakfast, lunch, supper, sometimes a snack when I'm home from work. Bed time snack, so I guess she's eating okay.
I think I asked this question about Vaccinations before. But like my DH said she is an indoor cat, and doesn't really need to be vaccinated. I should do some reading on vaccines thanks Jackie

Furball doesn't eat as much when she stays in good numbers, unless her numbers start dropping. Then she eats more. I'm not sure about the vaccines. Here the rabies vaccine is required by law or I'd skip it since my cats don't go outside.
