WCR: I caught her licking  the floor 5 minutes before test time. I knew she'd spike, and sure enough she did. I ought to put a clothes peg on that nose of hers. Weight: 11.06 lbs., and watching still.
WDHR (whole DH report): Today is Day 8 of him not smoking. He's been telling me that he can now smell the amount of nicotine in his car, and has told me (twice now, I might add), that he needs to clean it out, and try and get rid of that smell. He's also told me that he'll probably throw away the ashtray. I'm sure that he's still struggling with it, but to do this without the aid of pills, patches, gum, or even those electronic cigarettes is very, very good. I am extremely proud of him, and will keep telling him so for eternity. We Skype with his Dad and our stepMom tomorrow morning, and I'm sure that his Dad will shed a tear as he's been wanting at least one of his sons to quit smoking. I know that my DH's late Mom is extremely proud of her youngest.
Going to be an interesting morning tomorrow.
Yesterday was interesting, to say the least. We stayed home, and naturally didn't get a call from my BIL and his wife 2 doors down, which is fine by me because we knew that was going to happen (he drinks, and smokes like a chimney, and she smokes just as much). Anyway, one of our neighbor's goats ended up in our front yard yesterday, and I called the neighbor to let him know. He came over, grabbed his goat, and we all proceeded to talk turkey, literally. He asked us if we wanted a bit of turkey, to which we agreed. They're Mexican folks, and nice folks. Later that day, around 4:00 after I fed my horse, I saw the oldest boy and girl walk up to the fence with 2 silver packages. 1 contained the brown and serve dinner rolls (I found out last night that my DH doesn't like those; he ate them when his Mom always served them), and the other contained the turkey, with all the trimmings (except for cranberry sauce, and stuffing). It was delicious! Moist, and tender enough for my DH to eat (he has false teeth, but doesn't wear them *sigh*). I asked the children if they were allergic to anything, and they both said no. I told them that I'll make them some cookies for Christmas. These folks have been here for at least 2 years now, perhaps a year extra. My BIL has a problem with them (he ALWAYS has a problem with someone, for some weird reason), as they live on the other side of them, but we've never had a problem with that family since they've been here. They're farmers for the most part; they raise cattle, goats, chickens, they have a white turkey, a few dogs, at least 1 cat that I know of, but they don't grow their own vegetables that I can tell. The father is a construction worker, and speaks enough English to get by, his 2 oldest children speak English fluently as they go to the school 15 minutes away, but they're Mother doesn't. I may have to start learning some Spanish, me thinks.
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and ate lots of turkey. We'll be having turkey on Christmas. Now... to think about putting up the Christmas decorations today... Oh, that's a chore....
