Good Morning, Everyone, and Happy Thanksgiving to all in the US,

I think this is the earliest that Thanksgiving can fall. Two years ago, on Thanksgiving weekend, Rusty traveled across Canada to his new home with us. That was such a wonderful time and we give thanks every day that this fine kitty is part of our lives. At the moment he is sleeping in his little bed by the radiator, having had a good test, shot, and a breakfast of Wellness Chicken (turkey will come later). It is going to be another mild, sunny day, so Rusty will enjoy some good outdoor time.

We don't usually go away for Thanksgiving. Our families are scattered and Christmas is our big family holiday. So we will have our own little feast (a melange of various foods of the season: baked squash, cranberries, string beans, smoked turkey breast, apple/blueberry pie) and a nice bottle of wine. This afternoon we will go for a woods walk at the Visitor Interpretative Center in Paul Smiths. It will be a perfect day for a walk.

What a nice WBR/WCR. I so remember two years ago, and Rusty's journey to his new forever home. We were all so glued to all the updates. It was such a wodnerful time, made the holiday that year even richer. Celebrate well this year. It sounds like a wonderful day for all there. ENJOY!

And Rusty? looking good today. A nice blue stat for you. Enjoy your two year annifursary in your forever home.

Happy Thanksgiving Ella, Edward & Rusty. It sounds like a really nice way to spend Thanksgiving. I remember when you first got Rusty and what a nice Thanksgiving it must have been with Rusty joining the family. Have a great day.

Happy Thanksgiving, Ella, Edward, and Rusty! What a perfect day you have planned. I hope you enjoy your walk at the VIC. And blueberry pie :shock: I love blueberry pie! Have a wonderful celebration.

Happy two year anniversary to Rusty and his beans. I will never forget what a wonderful weekend that was, having a sleepover with Rusty and driving him to Kingston. It led me to meeting you and Edward as well, which is something I am thankful for, even if it is not officially "being thankful day" here.

Happy Thanksgiving! It sounds like you have a great day planned. Nice when the weather cooperates for holidays. And Happy Annifursary! Wow it's been 2 years! It seems like such a short time ago while we all watched his progression to his forever home and at the same time it seems like he has always been here w/ us in LL.

Hi again,

We just got back from our walk in the woods and over the bogs and marshes on boardwalks. I got a spectacular picture of the ice that formed on the Herron Marsh and will post it tomorrow in Rusty's condo.

Thank's Lyresa for posting the link to Rusty's first condo. It was such fun to read it, and to see all the replies. We give thanks for so many things and I would like to add another: thanks for the memories of those kitties who were at Rusty's welcome party who have since gone to the Bridge. Thinking of them today, and of their beans.

Interesting that I wrote that Rusty was playing on the stairs. He hardly ever goes on the stairs now, except for coming upstairs at bedtime, and then he often has to be coaxed. I wonder if something spooked him at some point?

Linda, we were thinking of you while we were walking in the VIC. It was especially lovely today. Rusty is looking forward to seeing you at New Years.

I'm about to start to get things ready for dinner. Thanks for visiting us and we hope that you are all having as nice a day as we are.

Wow, two years already? It was nice to reread Rusty's first condo. I had forgotten how easily he fit into your home. Amazing that he slept with you right away. :-D
It was a beautiful day for a walk. I'm glad you got out to enjoy it.

Ella, it's always amazing how these little ones can bring so much joy & tears to our life. Our encounter can be limited in the years we share but that love & bonding will last forever.
