Good Morning everyone,

We will be leaving for home in 2 hours, as soon as Edward gets back from the university. Rusty was so excited last night, and so happy to see stuff being packed. He tore around the room with his squeak mouse. And then this morning used the mouse as an alarm clock to get us up 10 minutes early! Now he is resting and waiting. We have a good, green AMPS, but not too low a green. Rusty got his normal breakfast and normal shot (skinny 2 units). Fingers and paws crossed that he won't get carsick.

We are glad we're leaving today and not tomorrow as originally planned: there is a severe winter weather watch for the North Country starting tonight. We want to beat it. Rain is coming to the city this afternoon. We probably will not beat that.

Wishing you all a good day, sending healing vines to all kitties and beans who are unwell, and sending special thoughts and love to Jill and Mike for a successful surgery.

oh too funny on Rusty!! he's learned what those suitcases mean... that is just too fun. Have a safe drive home!! I too am glad you are leaving now - best not to get caught up in the pending snows... our passes are such a mess right now. Very nice amps for Rusty - it is so great to see him green again

Lovely AMPS for Rusty!!! I love kitty antics! Rusty sounds so darned adorable with his own antics that you describe. Bless his heart! :-D Please stay safe at all times, and most importantly... HAVE FUN!!! :YMHUG:

Well, 42 at +4, just at the start of onset, is not exactly what I had in mind for today!! I fed Rusty a healthy spoonful of FF T&G with a drop of Karo. We'll be leaving soon and I don't want to give him more food than that because I can't take the chance that he will vomit and then have nothing In his system to counteract the insulin. We will give him the opportunity to eat at the first rest stop and hopefully he will eat if he needs to.

Today of all days to drop into the 40's!!! Good luck on the trip home. I wish good weather and a non-puking Rusty for you!!!

Well when i start packing Leo's things he usually hides under the bed. Must be nice to have an excited kitty when the suitcases come out!

Have you thought about using the cerenia for your car trips? When we got it for Leo's bout of pancreatitis i read on the cerenia website that it can be used for motion sickness as well. Just a thought.

Rusty!!!! What kind of going home number is that?? Moonie did the same dance when we were going home from Conn. after the hurricane! :lol: --They do know what suitcases mean!

Wow Rusty!! Hope you made it back safely and that Rusty surfed the green wave all the way home. Glad you are ahead of the storm. Too funny on the suitcases. They do catch on quick huh? Have a great evening Ella!

Oh wow with Rusty and the 42! Some kitties will do just about anything to get some of that FF T & G! :-D Have a safe trip home and hope no car sickness for Rusty.

Hi again,
We made it, and in good time, too. We beat the big storm. Rusty had an excellent trip, but didn't want to eat anything enroute. He settled for making several contributions to his litterbox. He made up for not eating all day when we got home, enjoying a dinner of Wellness Turkey with a little FF T&G on the side, as a treat. He almost vomited about 10 minutes from home, when we had to do some twisty turns, but since he had no food in his stomach, there was no vomit. All in all, a good trip. Drizzle north of the city and very overcast and chilly for the whole trip, but no snow yet. We're supposed to get around 10-12 inches tonight.
