Thanks for stopping by Ollie's condo yesterday....he's tossing some strange numbers around. All I can think of is he has put on some weight :o and maybe that is causing his weird numbers. It's really nice to get some feedback :-D

Last night I tested him at +3 and got an 85...proceeded to fall asleep on the couch :YMSIGH: until +8 and got 159. I expected a much higher number at AMPS but maybe he surfed.

It seems his nadir is at +3 or +4...his lowest numbers right? I should say it seems he drops like a rock and then slowly climbs. Been reading condos about timing feedings...I let him graze...maybe that's the problem. Of course it could be stress...I have been packing boxes for our annual trek south and also have been stressed with end of year work...he could be picking up on my stress and packing boxes. With an older shelter cat I don't know what he has had bad experiences with in the past....I was told he came to the shelter from a bad eviction.

Thanks for letting me vent nailbite_smile . All and all he is doing well and I am grateful. Many prayers and healing vines to those in need. I hope everyone has a great day. :YMHUG:

You're probably already thinking it. You're stressed, you're packing and the last time Ollie saw that combination he ended up in the shelter.

I've been wondering if moving preparations had ramped up and if your stress level was up.
How much longer before the trip?

Linda...you may have hit the nail on the head. This morning after I posted I finished packing the boxes and have put them in the hall to take to work with me....gettting them out of Ollie's world. Thanks!

Sandy...love that you are keeping an eye on Ollie's progress. You did so well with Black Kitty and Ollie seems so similar to him. We fly 3 weeks from tomorrow. My stress level is sky high...about the trip and work in general. Guess I need to tone it down...for Ollie and for me! Very quiet Thanksgiving weekend planned, maybe that will help.

If what's on Ollie's SS are numbers reflecting stress, I wish Gabby would stress out that way!! I think letting Ollie know he's going to be getting frequent flyer miles and he comes with you, may help both of you.

In theory, the grazing shouldn't be a problem. Frequent, small meals is good for a healing pancreas. If you want to experiment with feeding times, that's fine. Overall though, Ollie is doing great.

Thanks for stopping by Sienne! I do like it when you look over Ollie's progress...you see patterns in spreadsheets that I would miss for sure. :-D Glad to hear you think things are going well! Quiet weekend planned so I'll get to spend quality time with Ollie and hope to get rid of his stress.

Hi guys, yeah these are some lovely numbers ESPECIALLY if stressed induced :lol: I am sure a nice quiet weekend with lots of extra cuddles is just what ollie needs .. and maybe you too :-D have a great day!

Going to take a deep breath and tell myself it's only one cycle. We have not hit yellow since the end of September so this is a reality check. All of a sudden he's a bouncing baby boy. Is there a sign up sheet for Liver Training School ?

Sienne...no chance of any contraband....been racking my mind thinking...nothing out of the ordinary.

Now look at the dive to 78 at +3....guess Ollie has a new act ? I'll tell him we all liked the old act much better. Guess I can expect to hear from his liver by morning. I'll be keeping an eye on him tonight. Had trouble getting on line but seems fine now.

ETA Just saw your post Sandy...I don't think he has either...not showing any signs but if this continues I plan to take him in for a check up. Once we get settled I did plan to take him to see his vet in Florida. I like her and see now she is someone I can work with.
