Odd, tonight when I was drawing Ollie’s insulin, I over drew and when I went to release “the extra” nothing happened. So I pressed the plunger all the way down and nothing at all came out. So I tried again. Same results. Disposed of syringe, next syringe did exactly the same thing. The 3rd one worked, but is there something that makes this happen ? I am drawing from a pen.

I've had that happen before. It's just all air and it's hard to tell the difference between only air and insulin. I've found it's the syringes causing the problem. It's similar to an air bubble.

Ok. I’m going to make it a habit of drawing a little bit too much so I can release a drop and make sure that doesn’t happen again. I usually just pull to the mark I want. It doesn’t help that he is on such a puny dose. Hard to manage. But I’m happy he is.
Thank you!

Yup, this has happened to me a few times. Really hard to see the difference between air and insulin, yup. Thought I was losing my mind at first.
I now can tell if the syringe is going to not be airtight (don't know what to call it) when I prime the plunger by pulling it down and rotating. If it's going to be wonky, you can almost feel there is no resistance.

I’ll watch for that. Thank you!
