11/22 Marley Lantus AMPS 273, +2 265, PMPS 246

See what he does today. The 155 the other day makes me wonder if he went lower or if it was a bad strip as well like the 68 that night.
Looks like he might be up for another increase.

How does he look on the fleas and worms front? That can increase BG.

well. I never saw a worm but he was doing that lovely thing of dragging his bum on the rug! Not really that often and it might he does it again, time will tell. Fleas wise he has stopped obsessively itching and cleaning himself. Still sometimes acts like something just bit him and he licks and attacks back but literally gone down from a 10 to a 2. I am still madly cleaning and washing and hoovering.

I do think these chemicals take a toll on their systems so I imagine he is all put of back. Especially worms dying. They release lots of toxins when they die and that is a struggle for the body to break up and get out of the routes of elimination. So I think this will all be adding to an inflammatory response- but you know, its a good thing in the longer term.

But that maybe is why we are seeing the higher numbers.

+2 265

I heard another vet say that 95 % of the time fleas spend in is environment and 5% on the animal. So that its all about the environment. Lets see. We are only just getting over this last lot!!!

Would be good to get a test at +4 or +5 to see how low he is going.
So sorry I didn't see this.

I did get a +2.5 and it was 198

I thought you'd be asleep so I didnt write it!

You will need to use put the flea spot-on and deworm him again after 3-4 weeks to kill any eggs/larvae.
You may well be right, but we are going into winter here and I am trying to keep my electricity bills low, so I was thinking as the eggs seem to last years in fleas, it might be once its starts getting warmer that they all wake up with vengeance, so I was thinking that might be a time to redo it. ...

What is the deal with worm eggs? I am cvaccuming the carpet very thoroughly very often. And all bedding - mine and his has been washed multiple times. (So much for keeping energy bills down!!)
