Greetings from the PNW, where we have snow today - yay! (I think). Mannie had a bit of a bouncy day yesterday, but by PM cycle he was back on track, winding up the night with what appears to be a nice blue surf. Mannie boy? - nice job! cat_pet_icon We are starting out with a nice 162 this morning. :-D Paws crossed that maybe we will get some greens.

We had our first snowfall yesterday, as short lived as it was, more coming in today. It is fun to watch Mannie's reaction. He was so anxious to go out yesterday morning - got a few feet out on the deck, and kept looking skyward with the quizzical " what the heck!, and what is this stuff?!?!" He lasted 3 minutes, returning rather grumpy. :lol: :lol: Sorry there big fella. It 's been a typical morning here today: breffis consumed with much aplomb: several circles made around his bowl, much hollering, much "me me me me". Nanner security was reestablished shortly thereafter - that took I swear 10 minutes - his circle was askew, it took him forever to get it "just so" before he'd lay down in the middle. :cool: I had to laugh at his antics yesterday. He was sound asleep in his bed, when one of the civvies went to play with a nanner. She was so quiet, but wow: it wasn't 30 seconds later when Mannie's ears perked up, head bolted up, body flew out of his bed, ended up within 3 inches of the civvie (poor elsa) and the staredown began. Nanner security had been breached. Mannie 1, Elsa 0. :lol: :lol: Normalcy in mannieland. :lol: :lol: :lol:

KITCHEN KREW! Another party today! It's Sue's OTJ party, and we have much to do! I've posted the menu on Sue's party page, so check it out, and come ready to chop slice dice pound roll skewer stew grill and bake. yes - fun in the kitchen. See you guys - we are off to Ohio! ~~ Chef Mannie

Mannie~ Going over to check on the menu for Sue's Party, I want to help, Moma Bean will be busy packing up the motorhome, but I think I can "sneak out", Ugh I think she is planning on taking me camping w/them; I think my Moma Bean has lost her mind..... Maybe I can find it before I leave for Sue's Party, probley going to have to meet you there, I think Im the furthest out, I will leave in a bit; have to make sure everything is in place, so the bean wont miss me ~ Essi

Mannie is looking soooooo good this morning! I think he has very specific plans. Perhaps Elsa needs her own nanner or do you think Mannie would steal it? He's very protective on those nanners that boy...great story. I can just picture Elsa quietly trying to sneak off with the nanner in her mouth and then BUSTED.

Let it snow let it snow let it snow!! Brrrrrr....I bet it's beautiful but you couldn't get me outta the house!! Hard to believe for someone who lived in AK about 1/3 of my life :lol: :lol:

82 @ +4. i elected to feed Mannie some 8% - that's quite the drop from +2. He really likes the Merrick Grammie's Pot Pie - gobbled it up. I will test again @ +4.5. looks like my morning walk will be postponed for a bit... ok in a way - it's 27 outside! brrrrrr.....

No snow here...heavy rains up here at the lake. Mannie Ohio is up...not down. Plus you don't go diving for them walleye, you stay in the boat to catch them.

I Know - weird isn't it? It's like three furry balls bouncing up and down out there in all that water, while they trade off the diving masks....

Sous Chef Gracie! I know.... we's got to stop playing and gets our buns to Ohio... Muffin is so great - she's getting all set up for us, and organizing everything, and the decorations, and stuff. Hey Moonie and Copper are coming! SWEET! Let's go! ~~ Chef Mannie psssttttt - way cool on the nanners. they are awesome!

Howdy Ella! Weird on all this snow - we don't always get a lot of lowland stuff, but when we do - what a mess. people here are not used to it - causes all sorts of problems: chaos on the roadways. not to mention that Mannie was so disappointed when he poked his nose outside this morning and was met with a blast of really cold air, and then that white stuff. back to bed for him. Somehow I can see Stu trying to trudge on through the snow only to find his garden buried. You guys must really get the "true winters" with lingering snow. :cool:

Oh Michelle....180 at PMPS? I predict you won't be sleeping again tonight!!! What a fantastic day for Mannie and his PSs have been really good. Miss Gracie bounced big time after dropping so fast today but I have a theory on that dropping stuff now. Glad the trio all had nice surfs in green!!!

I'll be up a while...at least until 10:30 your time since my shot time is off. Have a great evening.

Thanks for the great evening wishes... just waiting to hear that all my brood made it home safely. The snow was pretty, but now all that has iced up - we are at 24 right now, and whatever melted from traffic etc has turn into a skating rink. It is really bad out there. :? DH just called. it is an hour commute for him on a good day. he said he has been on the road for 3 hours, and only made it 1/4 of the way home. aiyee.... 1 of of the three kids is at her home. 2 to go. nailbite_smile

on a humorous note: Mannie was so excited for his dinner that he was whimpering - literally whimpering. Once he saw the can he started running circles around the bowl - he got so wound up that he fell of the table - too close to the edge. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: poor guy - but it was darn funny. food got served to the sounds of nom nom nom....

I had no idea it got that cold and icy in Edmonds!! I hope your DH and kids all make it home safely. Good thing you are staying in ....time to stoke up the fireplace.

At least Mannie is still yellow unlike two other little kittens I know. Looks to be another quiet night...I hate the bounces and when she's not in healing range but I loves my sleepus!! Life ain't fair :evil: :evil: :lol: :lol:

Thanks Tena - it is nice that all of us are within 25 miles of each other. Heard from son #1, one more to go... and yes - they are all as nuts as their mother. :lol: :lol: all kidding aside - very busy, driven, goal oriented. aiyee - haven't a clue where they got that from. :lol: :lol:

Hi marjorie! We don't always get this cold... normal this time of year our lows are the mid 30's. these 20 degree things are a little out of the ordinary, but not uncommon either. tonight they say 19, tomorrow 12 for overnight lows... BRRRRR! Me too on DH arrival, though I expect it will be a very long night for him on the road. The local TV stations are all focused on the weather and the commute: very bad, iced up roads, traffic is crawling, major accidents, road closures, just a royal mess. I hope I see him before midnight. :shock: He's a seasoned veteran bad weather driver - chicago bred, used to the nasty road conditions from days spent growing up there. anyways... he'll be fine, though i expect a bit surely. :lol:

and yes on Gracie - and Tess. bounce city- and Mannie is right there with them, he just missed the cut-off for the pink floor.... SLEEP tonight ladies!

Nice work staying in the yellows, Mannie. But stay there and give your mom a break tonight, she has enough to worry about.

I hope you hear from the last of them soon Michelle. I talked to John and he's on the train and that is running 4 hours late.

Glad your DH is used to driving in the bad weather...nasty stuff....oh I can't even remember how cold those temps feel!! Hope he gets to stay home with you tomorrow.

289 @ +6. sunny yellow for a very cold and frozen area of the PNW.

Hi Lisa and Ann and Marjorie :-D yep - yellow! and that's ok. well all troops accounted for, and 3 of the 4 home. I have to applaud my youngest - he did give two people rides home who had no way to get there. as nasty and treacherous as it is out there he still took them home. way to go kid! he said he slid through way too many intersections, but made it. :shock: DH called - still on the freeway - into hour #7 now, and maybe 2/3 of the way. :shock: I can't remember the last time I have seen road conditions like this - very scary.

anyways - Ann - I feel for your DH. He may be there for a while... it is horrific out there. I would venture to guess that it is running as slow as everything else. everything is just one big sheet of ice. I wish him a safe journey.

well NI NI for me, at least for a few.
