Hello everyone! Chispa seems to be feeling much better today after yesterday's dental. They emailed me the report, and I found out that she had not three extractions, but NINE!! Six of them were the tiny teeth in front (all of the lower ones), plus the offending upper molar, the matching one on the other side, and one more lower tooth. This leaves her with only her tiny upper front teeth, five big lower teeth, and all four fangs. At least she can still be a scary Halloween cat with a full set of fangs!!!
I've been giving her a vet-recommended daily water supplement called Healthy Mouth, religiously, since her last dental, nine months ago (with six extractions). The vet tech said "Blame her parents -- it's genetic," but really -- shouldn't it have prevented the loss of NINE more teeth less than a year later??? I guess I will stop spending money on it.
