Yay! Just got the autofeeder and set it up. Was afraid it would be too deep but Chester ate ALL of his food out of it...and usually he never eats all of his food in one sitting. I'm going to look for some glass ashtrays or little dishes that will fit to hopefully avoid any reaction to the plastic. I have it set for a snack at +3 and again at +4.5.
The best part is that he wasn't phased by the sound and neither was the dog who will be spending his days in the same room with the feeder (although not on the same level as the feeder). The dog is afraid of most sounds, including...of all things...recycling (not a very green dog) so this is even better news.
Had to rip the instructions off immediately as they were peeling and stoping the bowls from advancing, just as I had read on line. After that, however, it turns fine.
