Afternoon, Patty. :)

I sent Sally a cyber-cake.

If Blue's level or lower at +1, start with the HC snacks at that stage. Things to bear in mind:

* AMPS isn't too high, bounce may break.

* This is the eighth dose of 0.5IU, so depot will be fuller than yesterday morning.

That's sweet of you to send a cyber-cake...I miss Sally so much. We always celebrate her birthday and Thanksgiving together.
I hate covid. I was reading the news this morning and there was an article at the top about mutations of the virus and I couldn't even read that.
Really, don't we have enough to deal with???

The last time I saw Sally we were celebrating Mom's 95th on March 9. I remember her sitting across from me and saying "you really don't think covid is real do you?" and I said yes, I do. I even hesitated to go through with the birthday get together because the virus was suddenly a reality. That's a long time to go without seeing family and especially I feel bad for mom. I'm hoping we get a vaccine that is safe and effective, and get it soon!!!
 
Okay, Blue is 465 +1.5 now. That's exactly what he was yesterday at +1 and he dropped nearly 100 pts. by +2. I'm not sure but maybe I need to test him in 15 minutes to see if he's going to have another big drop? What are you thinking? Should I give him a little food? I hate doing that when he's still so high.

As long as he's dropping, give HC + gravy. If he's had a big drop give extra gravy and a drop of honey. (The drop to 412 was a big drop - >100/hr.)

Please can you post the time you give the snack if it's not immediately after a test, Patty. I need the info for my sitrep.

I don't remember starting with 12%. Do you know when? I know I haven't been catching the large drop between +1 and +2 so maybe we go higher at that time and then back off to a 10%? I don't really know the answer obviously. Maybe if he had started lower today the HC might have worked to keep him even.
