? 11/22/24 Mikey AMPS 219 +6 90 PMPS 191 + 6 349 missed PM Shot by error

I missed Mikey’s pm shot. I took his BC and left the syringe full on the table . I am beating myself up. I was tempted to give him a mini shot when I discovered my error. I have never done this or even had a fur shot! And of course he is now 349
Has this happened to any of you. I feel sick about it. I will wait to give him his 4:30 am shot .

Many have done that. Is 4:30 your desired time? Now would be the time to change that. All this time without a fur shot is something to be proud of I think!

 

I get up every morning and go to the gym at 5:00. So I have my coffee and he gets his insulin. I have been thinking of changing my routine but he wakes me with a nudge at 4:15 every morning.

 

Fascinating. I checked his numbers just now, after a 12 hour miss of Lantus, and he was at 287. I was sure he would be off the chart. Such an odd disease.

Be kind to yourself Tom. Many of us have screwed up with many fur shots, much more often. Your record is impeccable!! Mikey will be just fine in your great care
