Georgia and Simon (GA)

Member Since 2010
Today, Simon is about the same as yesterday. He is still sneezing whenever he does any kind of exertion, like going down and upstairs. He is still just not feeling that well although he is eating and meowing and purring. I haven't noticed as much drinking either. The only thing that really scares me is one of my other kitties, Boots (GA) started doing alot of sneezing and it turned out he had a huge cancerous tumor in his chest. It was the most devastating thing and I am just so nervous it is something similar. I know I shouldn't compare, but it is always in the back of my mind. If his sneeze doesn't get any better by the end of this week, I'm going to schedule another vet visit for next week.

Hope everyone has a good day. I am going to come back at lunch to check on my baby Simon. Prayers to all the kitties and their beans and Jill and Mike.

Re: 11/21 Simon AMPS 293

I'm hoping it's nothing more than a persistant cold and Simon gets some relief soon.
Hope you guys have a great Monday

Re: 11/21 Simon AMPS 293

I guess we can't help comparing to our past experience. I hope this is just a cold and clears quickly.

Re: 11/21 Simon AMPS 293

It's definitely difficult not to compare past experiences to current day events. Even though he's still sneezing, it does sound like Simon is improving. We've got you in our thoughts and prayers here!

Good to hear that Simon is eating and drinking. Sending lots of healing vines to help Simon kick the cold and get better. ((((Georgia))))

Re: 11/21 Simon AMPS 293

Hi guys .. I agree, it's so hard not to compare past experiences when you see similar symptoms .. but I'll be sending lots and lots of get well thoughts simon's way .. hoping it's just a cold that is taking some time to get over .. have a great day!

Re: 11/21 Simon AMPS 293

I know it's tough not to compare when you see similar symptoms. It sounds like you have a good plan to follow up with the vet.

I don't know if you saw Sienne's suggestion yesterday....it wouldn't hurt to continue the lysine. It may help.

Please get better Simon!

I just got home to check on Simon at lunch and he greeted me downstairs! He didn't do that at all yesterday so I'm hoping this is a good sign. He seems fairly alert and ate all his lunch. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers.

Laurie, I started Simon back on the l-lysine so hopefully it will help quicken his recuperation.

Just because something is possible doesn't mean it is probable. Stop that bad thinking. Most of the time sneezing is a URI or herpes flare.

Edit - I forgot to add hugs and belly rubs for Simon too please

Re: 11/21 Simon PMPS 266

Karrie, thank you for telling me to "stop that bad thinking"!! I needed that!

Simon's numbers have been slightly better than yesterday so I'm thinking positive that things are looking up.

Thanks everyone for stopping by today!

Re: 11/21 Simon PMPS 266

Hi Georgia, sending get healing vines to Simon and calming vines and hugs to you. I think that's a great sign he greeted you downstairs. Simon is saying "Mom, see I am getting better." I can understand the worry. You're a great and loving Bean.

Re: 11/21 Simon PMPS 266
