Hi Everyone!

Racci's increase got her nice midday numbers but she is still really high in the morning and night from her meals, I'm assuming in addition to the regular running out of insulin. It seems so strange that she's gotten so high tho. I think I will take her temperature today after her adequan shot. She seems fine, I just want to check because of these high numbers which is her usual sign of being sick. Other than the numbers, she's cheerful, hungry, thirsty, pooping & playing and I don't see anything wrong except her neuropathy, which seems to be giving her a harder time and could also give her higher bg's.

Yay! I just got her Bayer Contour strips!!! Now I can switch back and see what she really looks like on the meter I'm used to. Nothing else new here. I'm still sick and we're probably having out thanksgiving on Saturday since I'm just not up to all that cooking and company work right now. Since my grandson has ear infections & upper respiratory again & my ddil is also sick, it will work out well for everyone to have a couple of extra days to get better. We bought all the goodies though and if I feel up to it, I will start preparing one dish at a time later or tomorrow.

Hi Sienne,

I've been suspecting she might be bouncing again even though she had stopped that for a long time. It's possible. She was hungry at +6 and may have gone down more. I fed her but was coughing too much and too sick to test her after only 2 hours sleep. I fed her 2x because she was really hungry which means she was probably low, and passed right back out for another 3 hours. Then got up for the day and gave her breakfast but was still too phlegmy after lying down to test. Instead I coughed for about an hour! I wish I could shake this!!!!

Well she went all the way down to 88 this time. Of course, I don't know what the morning reading on the contour meter would have been either though. I'll be able to get a better idea now with the bayer back again. Thanks.

Hi Melanie, that's a nice drop there with the 88! :mrgreen: Bummer on the bronchitis and not feeling well. Sending some healing vines. Glad your strips arrived, too.

I slept off and on all day and DH fed Racci when I was sleeping so her test got screwed up. I guess it would have been high anyway but I don't know how high. :YMSIGH: Oh well.

Have a good night. I'm going to bed now. Might as well sleep where I belong. :smile:
