11/21 Neko PMPS 288 - got a cracker!

Yesterday was another of Neko's creative cycles. Green preshots with blue and/or yellow during the rest of the cycle.

11/20 Recap:

Looks like Neko is having a rest day today, or she's emulating the sunshine. In any case, she's out in her basket in the solarium. She did have a very brief trip out on the deck this morning, but it was below freezing so she didn't last long.

OT: I'm keeping my eye on Theo today. Yet more hairballs. :shock: I think that's 5 in the last 3 days and he rarely has them. He also had a bit of soft poo a few times overnight, followed by some very loud bum scooting at +8 (hence the test at that time). I gave him canned food this morning with probiotic. He was turning his nose up at the raw. It was turkey - his least favorite. He was very eager to eat the canned - normally when I open a can it's HC. :lol: It was a little higher carb than I want Neko to eat, so I had to corral the land shark for a while as she was hovering near him as he was eating. Both of them are much faster at eating raw than canned.

Thinking of Marje and Mike today. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: The world will be a sadder place without gentleman Gus. May he have a peaceful crossing full of love.

I hope Neko gets back to green for you soon and this is a short rest. I hope the probiotic helps Theo.

Sending good thoughts to Neko to get back to green for you. And, of course, hoping Theo's hard work on the hairball pays off and he gets back to normal. My bean baby is Theo... so obviously, it's my most favorite name in the world :-D

OK Neko, did you eat a cracker? Is that what's going on with these yellows? I think you would be happier back in the lagoon, so head on over that way at your earliest convenience please :mrgreen: Poor Theo and the hairballs. I hope his episode is soon past. Have a good night Wendy. I too am hurting for Marje and Mike. Hug your kitties extra tonight. Our time with them is unfairly short.

OK that subject line totally made me come see if Neko actually ate a cracker . . . hey, if Hoot licks envelopes, I figured it was possible . . . well, even if you can't blame those numbers on getting into the Triscuits, I hope they don't last long. And I hope you don't wake up to Theo hairball hacking and bum-scooting :-D

Totally not what I was expecting this cycle would look like. Around +11 DH dropped a piece of cracker on the kitchen floor and the land shark swooped in. :lol: Since we value our fingers - she got to keep it.

OT: Theo seems better, no poo since this morning, he was playing this afternoon, and eager for dinner. Of course, it was kangaroo tonight and what cat can resist that! I'll have to circle the house before saying no hairballs. He's pretty quick to find a remote room and upchuck. :roll:

@Carla - Barely made blues today, maybe tomorrow. Probiotic might be helping.

@Joely - Maybe tomorrow for green, gotta work the carbs out of her system first. :lol: I hope your Theo is old enough he doesn't upchuck. A friend of the family has a son named Theo, but the cat had the name for 6 years in the shelter and knows it, so I didn't change it.

@Kim - Neko loves bread products. :roll: I was expecting she'd slide down to PS before the cracker incident. :lol: Me too on Theo finishing the hairballs. We had a double date this afternoon with the furminator and the zoom groom.

@Amy - Before Dx, we caught Neko going after banana bread (through tin foil), blueberry muffins (through plastic) and a baguette. Some girls just love their carbs! Me too on the bum scooting being done.

@Anne - Gotta keep the beans on their toes. Don't give her ideas about the paint!
 
Neko, you little Tasmanian devil, you! Too funny on the dropped cracker. Shasta would be like that with Fig Newtons. :lol: Glad to hear that Theo is feeling better. Sending even more healing vines for his tummy! Have a wonderful evening, Wendy!
 
Really? Neko likes cracker?
Was it a fish flavor cracker?
It's so interesting to know some kitties eat things I thought cats wouldn't eat.
Jupiter likes bread, and Papaya likes mint tea leaves (used, I guess).

Sending soothing vines to Theo.
It is worrisome when they puke hairballs too many times... Ginger does that too.
I'm trying to figure out how I can help her pass it from the other end.
 
It was one of those artisan crackers - with rosemary, apricot, pumpkin seeds and almonds. But sugar and honey were near the top list of ingredients, after flour.
 
Hi Wendy, sorry I keep missing your condo. Love the cracker story and the value of your fingers. Mannie loved crackers too. Nicholas loved giving him fishie crackers. I so had to watch.... :roll: I hope all is well with Theo.

Sorry to miss you last night, too. Too much on the cracker! It's interesting that Rusty has no interest in any kind of people food. Stu's favorite was butter.
