I forgot to set an alarm for this morning. I looked at my phone exactly at 6:15. Max was nowhere to be seen so I guess under the bed but came out. I expected him to be higher since he didn't seem hungry but he was good. It is impossible to predict where he will be based upon his actions.

Got bad news this morning right before I was testing at +2. My friends' mom is not going to make it and will likely pass today. They started giving her morphine. I pray for a smooth crossing. My friend seems at peace and is really strong for now. I think she will likely crash later. :cry:

Since I couldn't cancel my bike I went and left 9% out for Max who had just eaten. Came home 1 1/2 hours or less later and the food was gone but he had dropped to 59. I still need to be here hourly until he is done dropping each cycle. After yesterday I was hoping that he was going to coast in the 70-85 range or so. Maybe soon.

Nice cycle for Max. But I wish he was a little more predictable so you could get out more in the morning.

Thanks, Wendy. My sister called me and asked me to go with her to interview a dentist because she needs a lot of work and is scared. I left Max at +6 with a 60 BG expecting to be gone for maybe an hour and a half. I fed him before I left and left out more food. I bet he ate it right away. I was gone for 3 1/2 hours and forgot my phone so I couldn't call a neighbor to check on him and put out more food. I was nervous the whole time I was gone. I didn't bother to test when I got back but he is sleeping peacefully and opened his eyes so he's okay. One year later and I'm still not sure how to handle these kind of days. I'm loving all the green and wouldn't trade it for the scary days and nights though.

Nice numbers for Max today. I wish our kitties would make it easier to tell what they're going to do. Sending prayers for your friend.

I am so sorry for your friend Elise, that is really hard to face, especially with the holidays coming up. Nice cycle for Max, I know what you mean about leaving him. Still has not bonded with Otto yet I take it? Neither has Tiger :roll:

Elise, what an amazing bean. Max has certainly taken you for one wild turn at this crazy dance and you hang on, hang in, and keep on stepping. He is soooooooooooooo loved. And doing so well. I hope he becomes a little more predictable for you. You need to do a few things for Elise, too!

i'm so sorry for your friend - losing your mom at the holidays would be even more rough than it already is. she's lucky to have you there with her.

and max . . . . :mrgreen: i can only imagine how restrictive this is for you, though. i hope he flattens out soon and becomes a little more predictable for you.

Thank you for the visits Carla, Ruth, Marilyn, Amy, and Julie. I lucked out and it appears that he didn't go much lower I guess. Tomorrow I have a hair appointment at 1:30 which should be safe. It is too scary for me to leave him much before then. He ate his dinner already so it should be an active night.

My friend's mom left peacefully on her own terms this afternoon.

Please let Max surf now. He dropped already. I think I probably should have given a little less insulin because the bubble was very small but I wasn't thinking. I just gave him a little hc.

We got Max, Polly and China all out in the deep water and paying no attention whatsoever to us mamabeans

Must be nice to sleep 23 hours a day so you don't need to sleep at any particular hours....LOL

OK now Max....Hop up on that surfboard and head for shore now...Maybe China and Polly will follow you in

Oh dear, Max! What are we to do with you??!! You have spent so much time in the lagoon today your toes must be good and wrinkled! :mrgreen: Fun's over though. Time to come to shore and let your poor, exhausted mamabean rest.

So sorry about your friend, Elise. It's nice to hear it was a peaceful crossing. That's what we all wish for our loved ones and ourselves.

I hope Max comes up a little more and surfs safely. And NO bounces, you hear, Max?
