Yesterday was.... I dunno! It was a mix of all sorts of things, mostly yellow with a pink splotch and a short dip into the blue grotto. I had thought maybe we'd have a rainbow kitty... but no, not yesterday. :? Rumor has it though that the Blue Mannie Group was found jammin' live at the beach... and on the road... by the woodstove... even if it was a short lived performance. Well done Mannie!!! I sure like those blues. It was nice to see you find them again. Maybe we can try for that again today... I wrote this a few days ago, and the thoughts still remain. "Mannie just has not gotten back on track since his cardio evaluation. I am coming to the conclusion that he just does not do these rather involved vetty visits well. It seems like it always takes forever to get him settled again. or... he's just being Mannie. or..... there is something else brewing. or..... i just need to jump start him one again. The last time I added a drop to this dose it sent him diving, with a day of HC to get him out of it. AIyeee... one dose too little, another too much. Well, we will see how things are for the next couple of days, and once DGS is home for the holidays I will consider fattening up the current dose." I think over all the cycle are shifting down, but WOW: how patient can one be.... Things are looking up with that amps this morning. :-D Mannie boy, love ya, but we really do need better numbers... cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand. :-D :-D And the rains continue in the PNW.... BLECH!, but at least they are not as bad as they were on Monday. We had rains most of the day yesterday. Mannie elected to sleep the morning away in his bed, DGS and I decided early on that we would go to the pool. I would have loved to have taken him out to a river, but with all the rains, they are running extremely high, flooding in some areas, and well - best to let things subside some... SO in, lieu of that we went to the pool, while Mannie ignore all the wet and kitty napped. DGS was worn out when we got home, so he napped. I could see Mannie watching from the hallway so I brought him into the room. What was great was that he went to check him out, perched on top of him for a very short while. And for once I had a camera in hand!!! I put this photo in Mannie's condo yesterday, but thought I would again today. I love the shot - it is so "best bud".
This morning we had a great test, feed and shoot and clean plate club , purrs and lots of cuddles. Normalcy in MannieLand. :-D

Have a great day everyone. I am back on DGS duty today. The other set of grandparents are going on vacation so I will have him M-F for two weeks, starting this Monday.  I am uncertain what I will do today with and for Nicholas today, alot depends on what the weather does in the next few hours. He still loves the rivers, and I would love to be able to get to one. Not too sure at this point if that will be doable or not, they are running very high right now.... I will try and get to condos when I can, but probably not until late in the evening. There is just no time when he is here.. I will miss you guys - and your furkids. Think blue think green kitties!

Hey everybody!! You guys wanna go skiing? Or snowboarding? We gots ALOT of snow in our mountains and well I hear that the snowboarding is PRIMO! And they gots a ski jump too! I will pack the bus, and make sure that the hottub is working well, and the sauna! Maybe we can grill hot dogs and sausages afterwards.... I so hope Rusty will make us a batch of his hot tuna toddy's - perfecto! OH!! I gots lots of hats and mittens and scarves and stuff and A TON of fleece. You guys in? Let me know - I am ready for anything!!~~ Mannie

And completely OT: Here are some photos from DGS's and my adventures yesterday: swimming: a long solid morning of swimming. He was in that water for three hours, and even then I had to drag him out. What a great time for him. It was another day of non-stop motion. He loves to jump in, once again it was over and over and over.... I've included the FaceBook links for anyone that wants to see all the photos, and the videos: Swimming

Re: 11/21 Mannie AMPS 185

Defnitely a very nice start for Mannie today...work that juice, Mannie, the dosecrease threat is on the table!!!!

Re: 11/21 Mannie AMPS 185

Morning Michelle, I was wondering about your weather today. it is making the news, especially TWC. I love watching Al Rocker and the other reporter joke back and forth. I just love the pic of Mannie keeping a protective eye as DGS sleeps. Mannie has such a tender heart. I remember when you added the drop and what a time you had getting Mannie up! Maybe wait when you have a day at home. Have a great time today and if weather permist hope you can fit in a river adventure if the water isn't too high. Cute pics of DGS. I think he will be swimming before you know it, self taught, if he isn't already!
Mannie, that is my favorite blent, the Pike Mountain Place, thanks you so much for my delivery, Auntie Ann

Mannie, snowboarding sounds like fun and perfect day to enjoy the snow. I'll bring some sausages and kraut for all of us. We can pick up Moonie, too. See ya at the curb, Mags

Re: 11/21 Mannie AMPS 185

Good Morning, Michelle & Mannie,

Wow, that triple-shot espresso sure sounds good, Mannie. Hurry and get here!!

Much better AMPS for the Mannster today. Blue Mannie Group will be performing on the ski slopes later, that's for sure. Michelle, I sympathize with your dosing dilemma. Maybe try sneaking down the dose by 1/2 drop? Are you using calipers? I don't remember if you are or not. But it is really much easier using calipers than trying to eyeball a small amount. Are you still using Monojects? They complicate the measurement with calipers because, with the recent Monojects, it is never certain how much insulin will get into the "cone" and therefore mess up the dose.

Have a good day with Nicholas. I hope that your weather will improve so that he doesn't have to spend 3 hours in the pool again! Nice to get to a river if the water isn't too high. But maybe a woods trail would be a better bet.

That is the best picture!

Happy day to you all,

Ella & Rusty

Yo Mannie, I'm on my way to the sunny ski slopes, bringing hot tuna toddies for the apres-ski.
Rusty

Re: 11/21 Mannie AMPS 185

Morning Amy ~O) ~O) ~O) Thanks - I so hope he does that today. Paws crossed. It sure was nice to have a blue amps. :-D

Morning Ann ~O) ~O) ~O) oh yes on the weather.... another very soggy heavy rains morning... Thunder storms predicted in the next few hours. The sound area is awful, not too bad in the rest of the state, lots of snow for the mountains. They are happy: ski season will start early in some places, on time in others. THX on the pics - I loved it when Mannie did that - he didn't stay long, but awesome nonetheless. -- yes on the drop adding... aiyee! so we will wait until Friday when I am home for the three days that follow, and see where he is at then. THX too on the pics - I really enjoy the pool time with him, and that he seems to really take to the water. Always a plus. I hope so too on today - might have to be indoors, considering how wet it is out there....
Auntie Ann ! OOOOOOOOOOO! Good to know! my bean likes that one too - see buys it for home, so I always got a good supply. WOO HOO! - You wants another? No problem.... ~~ Mannie, kitteh barista

Morning Ella ~O) ~O) ~O) Yes, I a so glad to see that blue this morning - YAY! Mannie is tuning up for the BMG as we speak.  No on the calipers, but am thinking i should...and yes on the monojets. still.... the latest batch has been much better. I remember that batch #163133 (I think) and they were awful. I still had some of them! Weather is bad this AM - we may do an indoor activity. there is a childrens museum in bellevue that ash alot of water interaction stuff. Might go there. though he did lvoe those three hours in the pool.   There is a woods trail nearby too.
Auntie Ella - I is coming!! Got Auntie Ann's and then I am on my way. Watch for me! should I being one for Uncle Edward?? ~~ Mannie, kitteh barista

RUSTY! DUDE! Awesome - see you there. Thanks my friend for the hot tuna toddys!! ~ Mannie

Maggie - AWESOME and let's do it then! FUNS!! oooo - thanks for for the sausages and kraut. I LUBS kraut!! Cool on Moonie too - I think that is a good idea. I hear she is feeling good. See you at the curb!~~ Mannie

Re: 11/21 Mannie AMPS 185, +2 186

Mannie, you are awesome today! Even that +2 is beautiful. Keep on surfing, Buddy. :-D

Your Friend Checkers

Hi Michelle. You must be one happy mamabean, this morning. Great amps and even better +2 for a change. Yaaaay!!

Michelle, thank you for visiting us, when you have to be exhausted in the evening, after a day with the tiny bean. :-D

Re: 11/21 Mannie AMPS 185, +2 186

Hi guys! Yay things are looking up in Mannie Land today a blue woo hoo we got one of those today tooo!!! Hope this means Mannie has broken from his vetty slump hahah. Hope the rain stops soon and you guys have a great day!

Re: 11/21 Mannie AMPS 185, +2 186, +3.5 153, +4 160

Mannie, did your bean do that happy dance this morning? Mine did. They keep muttering something about blue starts and hopping up and down.

Now those are the kinds of numbers we were expecting from Mannie! This looks like a great day for him. I hope you get out some today Michelle. It's only drizzling here so a forest walk would be perfect. Our rivers are pretty full too. We live quite close to one and it's always interesting looking at it when we drive over. But not great for little boys to stand near.

Re: 11/21 Mannie PMPS 247

HI Michelle - just checking in to say hi, and hope you had a good day. You are probably exhausted! Ick on the weather, but it sounds like the kittehs had a nice time without us. :-)

Re: 11/21 Mannie PMPS 247

247 @ PMPS. Up to the yellows... Mannie - what do you have planned for tonight?

Hi Lisa - HI back at ya! Day was good - an indoor thing for nicholas - was too wet and windy out there. The winds did us in, the rains we don't mind. ;-) And I know on the kittehs - they always seem to be dong the best things. Amazing....

Hi Michelle - Very cool on Scrabble -I so love those blue amps! Oh yes - me too on the breaking of the vetty slump. my paws are crossed. THX too on the rains - they have lessened up some! YAY! We may even get a dry Thanksgiving!

Hi Wendy - THX - it was so nice to see this morning shape up as it did. A blue day once again. Up a little at pmps, but not too bad. THX on DGS - it was raining something fierce in the morning so I opted to take him to a new children's museum,. it was nice, he had a great time, but it was so not the same as being out on a forest walk, or a river trek. At least he was dry, and I didn't have to change clothes on him every couple of hours.  yupp: agreed on the rivers - I find them fascinating, but right now, and knowing what he loves to do there, probably not the best thing for a 2 yr old. We will wait until things subside a little, are a bit calmer.

Neko - MINE DID TOO! What is up with these beans??? They do the weirdest things, ya know? It's the dancing part that gets to me.... ~~ Mannie

Hi Barb - :), and that I was! It was so great to have a blue amps, no food spike, and then have him stay there, for most of the morning,. WOO HOO! Not too bad of a pmps either. :-D And you are welcome on the visits. I really try to spend time with people that visit Mannie. I feel bad when I can't or when I do it is so late in the day... I have to admit, things shut down in the evening, I do fine until I sit down, and then it's I-) I-) I-)

Hey Checkers - DUDE! I did my best! I surfed most of the day, then I dunno, everything went yellow.... weird huh! I so liked my +2, mainly cuz my bean did this happy dance thing. beans are so weird too... See ya! Your buddy, Mannie

Re: 11/21 Mannie PMPS 247

I hope Mannie comes back down and gives you some more blue tonight. That's nice you had a dry place to take DGS today. I hope your weather settles down soon.

Re: 11/21 Mannie PMPS 247, +2 291

291 @ +2 argh, back to the food spike! Come on down Mannie. he blue floor misses you.

Hi Carla - I hope he does too! paws crossed. Thx and me too on the weather. It was a good pale for him, he had fun there. Lots of tings for the really young kids to do.

Re: 11/21 Mannie PMPS 247, +2 291

That's a for sure food spike of Mannie. Come down Mannie, into the blue floor!

Re: 11/21 Mannie PMPS 247, +2 291

Red Rover, Red Rover, send Mannie on over...to the BLUE SIDE!!!!! Come on down to your favorite blue floor! Hope you guys had a good day, Michelle!

Re: 11/21 Mannie PMPS 247, +2 291

Back to the grotto, Mannie. There's nothing interesting up there. Two weeks of DGS duty? I'm sure it will be a bunch of fun but exhausting.
Liz

268 @ +4.5. well, a fat yellow surf... I have to laugh at the 263. That (263/268) has been the number for a few nights now, at +4/+4.5. how interesting.

I am sorry I missed so many of you tonight. I went to sit on the sofa for a few minutes and then visit people. oh sure.... I zoned out for over two hours. sheshhh! guess I should just put the tired old bod to bed. Mannie has given me permission....

Hi Helen - yupp, he does like those +2 food spikes... looks like the blues will have to wait until tomorrow though. ;-) :-D

Hi Deborah - :-D :-D I liked that = what a fun post. I wish he had but alas he is back on his second fav floor - the yellow one. I hope i will wake up to a blue one tomorrow. paws crossed. Today was great - I'd sure like to see it again. :-D And THX - we had a great day today!

Hi Liz - I had so hoped on the grotto! looks like we have to wait for another day. Hey maybe in the morning! :-D and yes - two weeks of DGS duty. It will be fun, but I think by the end of it all I will be beyond exhausted. I love the time with him - it is exhilarating, never ever feel the fatigue then. HAHA: only when I take a minute to sit down,. like tonight: over and out!
