He continues to be a stage 4 clinger, as if he must stock up in case I leave again. But he seems very happy and I'm ecstatic he's stayed under 100 so far.
Last year at this time I had just come back from a work trip and was about to leave on another. I knew he wasn't doing well but it wasn't until I was walking out the door at 5 am for the second trip that I was like he looks awful. I texted my husband, Charlie looks like he's dying, you must get him into the vet today. And he actually did. And I had to find out what was happening over the phone and the vet was like diabetes is really expensive... long pause... I am not putting him down, you get him better and I will get over my dislike of needles and blood.
December 1 will be a much happier day this year, I think.
