Happy Friday! Same nice blue start for the day for Cole. Some nice head bumping this morning.

Question -- I have arranged some grooming for him next week as he's so matted and it can't be comfortable. Does anyone know or have experience - will that stress likely raise his BG? He really hates to be combed and it will be at the vet as well...

Yes stress raises BG. There are also stories on the board of vet visits causing BG to drop. Sooo, there's no one answer Just test before he goes and right when you get home. If his BG goes up, he'll recover - sometimes a few hours, sometimes a cycle I think.

Ruby's BG dropped the last time I took her to the vet. ECID!

Nice start. I hope Cole surfs safely today. Like Susanne said stress raises BG for most cats. However, there have been a few kitties that have gone lower at the vet from stress.

Thanks for the info from everyone on the BG levels - I will test before he goes, and when we get home. Hopefully any change is shortlived.

And now at +2 Cole is back in the green! Hurrah

I love the blue starts and head bumps. The green numbers are nice too.

Butters dropped after spending a day at the vet. She also dropped when she had her grooming session, and that was done at home! Definitely be prepared that he could go either way. Get a test when you get him home and keep close watch over him.

Some nice green today and a hungry cat. Tonight Cole is only at 122 for his PMPS so I think we are in for an active night.
