good morning, everyone!
hope it was a restful night for all lantus landers.

Well, last night his shot didn't feel right, and i thought possibly i had given a fur shot, but then i decided i was being paranoid and just wasnt used to the small amt in the syringe. Guess it wasn't paranoia after all.

surprisingly, binks is feeling great this morning in spite of the pink amps...all 5 p's present within the last hour, so we'll see how his day goes from here.

I agreed to help organize the thanksgiving day agenda at the nursing home this year, so have been missing out on the forum happenings, so today is a day to catch up with news of our LL family!

Looks as if it was a fur shot Celi...those pinks are happily not the norm on Binks' SS....he is doing such a great job and I am sure he will be back in the greens in no time! Happy Saturday to you.... :mrgreen:

Looked at Binks ss - what beautiful blues and greens. This pink does not fit in at all. Hopefully it is short lived and Binks comes down to his normal color. Have a great day.

Celi...that's really nice that you are helping w/Thanksgiving at the nursing home. I bet the folks there really appreciate your generiosity and warmth and humor and of course, kindness.

Hope Binks comes down soon for you. There have been a lot of times I wondered if any insulin went in to Sara too. It's just such a small amount that you hardly feel the plunger go down. :smile:

That is so nice of you to help organize the dinner at the nursing home. You will be putting a smile on a lot of people that day. That's an awesome feeling.

Sorry about the fur shot, it happens and it is so hard to tell w/ these micro doses, not enough on the fur to feel wet. he'll be back to business in no time.

It's great that you are helping w/ the dinner at the nursing home. Just look at this as giving you a little breathing room to get things done.

347 - so un-Binks-like. No doubt though that he will be done with that color very shortly. I too echo the sentiments of those that have already said: so great of you to help out at the nursing home. It is so appreciated by those folks - kudos to you!

No worries, the roadster is equipped with anti-pink shields, an well, I'm only one floor down, so no big deal. see you soon! We shall go and do something. actually, here's the funny thing about the T-day dinner...when they put up the notice for volunteers, my phone number was there for residents to see...so i'm getting lots of request msgs via phone.
almost all involve menu ideas...but 6 of them are asking if we can bring santa. I love it!
too bad binks is at his ideal weight...i know a little grey furry santa would bring some laughter where it is so deeply needed. :lol:

There is nothing more frustrating than fur shots but I bet he'll get through this one quickly. His SS looks, to my untrained eye, like Mr. P wants to work so maybe he'll take over today and bring the number down....or maybe you got a little in him. That's wonderful about the nursing home. How is Tam these days? And the unamommer? Mine went to my sister's house in SC for Thanksgiving....I'm sure my sister is counting her blessings :lol: :lol:

BInks...it's ok...we gots special suits for da snow!!! Dat way your furs won'ts get wet!!

snow outside, fire in the fireplace inside...purry cat in lap, and catching up with ll family...it's a good day in cuddville!

tam's doing well, marjorie...thanks for asking. we bring her home for turkey day (which makes the festivity planning for other residents easy, cuz we don't have to witness the results! ) and it is a day when the unamommer actually does bestow blessings...cuz lord, can that woman cook!
16 yrs a home ec teacher before she got the counseling degree and decided to ignore our stomachs to work on our minds...

y'all are aware from insights into my noodle that she really kind of should've stuck with the cooking... :lol:

:lol: :lol: Unamommer as home ec teacher vs counsellor. Yeah...agreed... my mom used to cook the most incredible food and never a recipe...all handed down over the generations and she kept it in her head altho she has written many of her recipes down for us but it's not quite the same. She's 82 now and it's hard for her to stand in the kitchen that long and she can't really lift anything so it's good your mom can still whip up those meals!!! I think holiday food is SOO much better when someone else is cooking!

Celi Binks has had such great numbers lately he'll come back down. 's nice to see our kitties feeling better. :-D I know what you mean about not knowing. I feel on the other side of the not so big tent along the needle to be sure it didn't go through. If I hadn't been doing this would have messed up a lot of shots since Powder is so thin even with the short needle . I also smell where I did the shot 'cause even a drop has a strong odor. Happy Caturday

Okay Binks, Im liken the +3, but I still think its in yah to bring it down just a few notches..... And sitting by the fire w/snow outside is just the fashion to do it in.....

Celi - Oh if I had a nickle for everytime I thought I gave Ess a fur shot. OK visual here..... Thinking Ive given her a fur shot, so Im down on my hands and knees smelling her fur....then I pass her around the house to see if anyone else smells it LOL. DH husband is asking why Im going around the house grr_red grr_red grr_red, then I kindly remind my self, "it is what it is, rather it be a fur shot than toooooo much!!! Until its time to test... And BOOM it was a fur shot, but in the back of my mind Im always wondering if Mr P will try just a lil harder because it was a fur shot.

Okay I rambled on Marjorie & Gracies Condo the other day, YEP it's ur turn today.... :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

I know fur shots are frustrating, but at least it means that Binks didn't lose his velcro. I was worried about that velcro when I saw your post. Have a great day, Celi.

Hey Binks! dude - you guys have the best snow... I may move in. I really like that little ramp thing you built - perfect for ski jumping. You sure do have the form. Go Binks. Nice recovery from the fur shot. Sad to say but we all get them. Hope you find a Santa for T-day.

Quite a day for Binksy! Looks like snowboarding is going to be the winter mode of surfing. Board on!! (or is it On Board?). Whatever. And don't forget that tomorrow is the FULL MOON.

It sure didn't take Binks long to get back to normal. I'm impressed.

Sounds like Thanksgiving at the nursing home is going to be very special this year. They'll love it.
