Good Day, LL!
Yesterday's condo: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=30173
I don't know if cats can feel remorse, but BK sure seems apologetic for the traumatic fit he threw yesterday at the vet. He's been nothing but purring to me today and he is sending me these long, loving glances that say: "I'm sorry...OK?" Or, maybe I'm just imagining this.
I can tell he is still feeling somewhat off today. He has shown me by his behaviors that loud sounds and lights are aversive to him. I took a cue and created a "tent" for him by draping a blanket over an armchair and a scooted-away ottoman. He is very appreciative and has been sitting in the tent on and off the whole day. It's the best of both worlds- he can still observe the action from under there, but he is tucked away in semi-darkness and the tent keeps my civve away from him. She is a very loving little cat, but when she is alarmed about something not being right with Big Kitty, she pesters him by coming to "check on him" a little too much...bless her little heart.
Other than that he is eating well today, but I will still get him some baby food, just to spoil him a little after his ordeal.
For anyone who needs a pick-me-up today, I saw this video today and it just melted me to the ground...

People who don't like cats must have a pleasure center disconnected in their brains. For me just looking at them creates a sense of joy and contentment.
Have a great day Everyone,
Eva
