Good Day, LL!

Yesterday's condo: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=30173

I don't know if cats can feel remorse, but BK sure seems apologetic for the traumatic fit he threw yesterday at the vet. He's been nothing but purring to me today and he is sending me these long, loving glances that say: "I'm sorry...OK?" Or, maybe I'm just imagining this.

I can tell he is still feeling somewhat off today. He has shown me by his behaviors that loud sounds and lights are aversive to him. I took a cue and created a "tent" for him by draping a blanket over an armchair and a scooted-away ottoman. He is very appreciative and has been sitting in the tent on and off the whole day. It's the best of both worlds- he can still observe the action from under there, but he is tucked away in semi-darkness and the tent keeps my civve away from him. She is a very loving little cat, but when she is alarmed about something not being right with Big Kitty, she pesters him by coming to "check on him" a little too much...bless her little heart.

Other than that he is eating well today, but I will still get him some baby food, just to spoil him a little after his ordeal.

For anyone who needs a pick-me-up today, I saw this video today and it just melted me to the ground...

People who don't like cats must have a pleasure center disconnected in their brains. For me just looking at them creates a sense of joy and contentment.

Have a great day Everyone,

Eva

Hi Eva, thanks a lot for dropping into our condo today! - and thanks for the kind words, much appreciated.

You've been through a lot the last couple of days but I sure hope that once the dust settles, it will turn out to have been for the best and will have really helped. Removing all other possible causes for elevated BGs has to be a good place to be..

..we're going in for Sooty's dental on Monday - and for the same reasoning (apart from I also have some serious suspicions that he has something going on in there!)

Hope the rest of your weekend is good - and Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you so much, Perry and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones!

Good Luck with the dental. Big Kitty had a freak-out after waking up from anasthesia, but I think that is an extremely rare reaction. Hope Sooty's clean-up goes well, and who knows...maybe it will lower the numbers...(anti-jinx!).

Got your reply ! Thanks! I must admit, I never know whether it'll necessarily be seen, if I reply to someone's message in my own condo... It'd be good if there was some better way to respond to someone on here, but I guess it seems that it kind of works, anyhow...!???

I have used PM occassionally too, when I really wanted to be 100% sure that my reply got through...!

So sweet of you to make a little tent for him...what a good Mama you are. Tell Bk that he will feel even better tomorrow.
That was such a cute video...thanks for sharing that. I couldn't believe the one on the bottom...and she never moved her arms....how cute is that!
