Hi everybody!
I've been lurking and cheering on everyone's progress and OTJ parties. This process works!
Since Ben has been OTJ for some time, I have been checking his BG about every month. He has been doing great in the greens. Yesterday I checked and it was 118. This morning it was 127. I believe it was more or less a fasting number, although I can't be 100% sure. (I had left some MC out for Squirrel, which I have been doing for months with no ill effect. She has CKD and is skinny and not wanting to eat.)
Seeing my boy in blue has me really worried. I've been feeding him the same Weruva. He is behaving basically the same. The only thing that has changed is the weather. It has gotten cold here in South Texas ("cold"=in the 40s and high 30s) as well as a little drizzly. He is an indoor cat, but the house is chilly, maybe 64 degrees or so. (Normally it is about 70.) Is it possible that the cooler temps have raised his BG?
To add to the picture, his wonderful vet has moved away and I'll need to get a new one.
Any thoughts are welcome.
