Rusty had a good "slide" yesterday: 157 (AMPS) -155- 87- 75 (PMPS) - 53 (late bedtime). We jumped right into Standard Time and he was a bit confused (and even more confused at bedtime because we were watching the ball game). He had a good night, but woke us up with one of his coughing fits (Rusty has chronic congestion). This morning he is napping in his little bed by the radiator.
The Mets suffered a devastating loss last night when the Royals tied the game in the 9th inning and went on to win the World Series. But, as we Mets fans like to say: Wait 'till next year!! @Chris & China I hope you enjoyed your champagne!
Today is a day of paperwork catch-up for me and I've got to get started on it. We are going to have 2 or 3 days of Indian Summer. We'll hope to get the leaves raked and maybe the car waxed. I'm feeling so much better after my surgery, but still have to be careful not to bend and twist. It will have been 2 weeks on Thursday. I'm allowed to drive again then!!! This is good, since the larder is getting low.
What a heartbreak in the 9th last night. Gotta give credit to those KC guys; they never give up.
Glad to hear your recovery is going well. Don't be silly with the pre-winter chores.
Rusty, after a coughing fit last night, I think you deserve a nice comfy day in the last-of-fall's sun to just lounge in your little bed by the radiator and let the beans wait on you. Come to think of it, I think you deserve that every day!
Sorry about the coughing last night. I hope Rusty's breathing is better today. I'm glad you're recovering well from your surgery, but be careful not to do too much.
Nice day yesterday and beautiful AMPS this morning. Great job Rusty! Sorry about the coughing fit. Tarragon had one last night too. It's that time of year I guess.
I was so sorry to see the Mets lose. I really wish it would have been more of a series than that. I was a little sad to see all the fans leave. That didn't help the Mets rally at all.
Glad to hear you're feeling better and better! Apparently this indian summer is supposed to last most of November! At least by us. That's ok though. I'll give the summer lovers their extra warm days for extra snow days in December
Rusty, you are looking great this morning. Love that green yesterday. Back to the lagoon again today? Bummer on the coughing fit, but glad all is well now. Enjoy that radiator Rusty!
Good luck with the paperwork! I have alot of that to do too... the pile never seems to end.
Nice on your good weather! Wish I could say that here. It certainly has been wet here for the past couple of days. Tuesday may be good, but I'm not holding my breath.
YAY too on your recovery. It is great to hear that you feel good, and can drive again too. How dependent we are on those auto's and being able to get around whenever we want. Glad all is well with you.
Looking good, Rusty. Both my cats have asthma so I hear a lot of coughing at times, too. A little worse right now because they are doing some kind of construction on the next block and it stirs up dust.
looks like Rusty dropped the limbo stick today...... but that's okay.... gotta recover from coughing....
warmer weather keeps those allergens from dying off.....
can't wait for the first hard freeze to kill off the ragweed.
Rusty appears to have taken last night's loss in stride, one New Yorker is proving a winner! Yep, wait 'till nest year!
I'm glad you are having a great indian summer, I used to love that time of year in the midwest! WE HAVE RAIN though! A nice light all day rain that is soaking in! hooray for El Niño!
Nice to see Rusty hard at work in the lagoon. Sorry that two of his deputies are on shore leave. Hopefully they'll both get back with the program soon.
I hope you have a nice, long Indian Summer and enjoy it! I'm in heaven because fall arrived here today and we got rain!! Like Ann, we had a nice, gentle rain falling all night and morning, with a few bursts of the good, strong stuff. Temps are supposed to be in the mid to high 60s all week. My kind of weather!
Sending vines for continued recovery. Sorry about your Mets, but at least they made it to the series!! My team got knocked out early.
