How nice to see a low yellow amps this morning: 207, after a string of those ugly pink ones yesterday. I managed to get through the day without pulling our all my hair. :-D So we hope for a better day today - looking good so far.

Mannie seems to have mastered the art of auto feeder feeding. :thumbup YAY a thousand times over. He goes when he hears it open - without any reminders that he needs to pay attention. It does crack me up though when on a few occasions he will be there early, before it opens, and will sit there and meow at it. "open! open! open!". the volume escalates until voila!: breffis is served. Amazing. Chow down says the cat, 0% carbs says the bean.

Mannie's good this morning - purring of the charts, nanners tended too, perimeter patrolled, civvies put in their place. Food raid attempted on the others bowls this morning: thwarted by the bean, icy cold stares received from the cat. sorry bud - you can't have those carbs.

So nice to see Mannie's low yellow this morning. Whatever is in the air, it looks like Mannie overcame it's influence. (Shadow won for the highest AMPS today Mannie...na na na nah poo poo....
ohmygod_smile one wins for the lowest AMPS Shadow!!!) Duh!

Hope you both have a wonderful Tuesday!!! I bet Mannie can find his way to some lovely blues and greens from here....Good boy Mannie! :razz:

:lol: :lol: Ok I am laughing at Mannie telling the feeder to open Do Lou is still not wanting to use his and we only have one more week till I go bk to work so he needs to get with it my DS is on day shift now so I have no one home to feed him so he needs to learn this nice low yellow to start his day

Hi Pat! oh yeah on the yellow and a sigh of relief at the 161 - a little fast, but sure better than yesterday.

Hi Lisa - :lol: i too have to laugh when he does that. It took FOREVER to get him to use that feeder. He's always known what it is for, but eat when he's supposed to? no way - finally, after months of perseverance, we seem to have success. I too needed him to get on board with it - with my daughters baby due 1/1 my mornings will be a little hectic come granny time. this feeder thing would ease the pressure of trying to maintain his feed schedule if and when I am out of the house. anyways - thank whomever that he's decided this is OK. I wish you luck!

a nice low yellow for mannie and then a nice drop down to the blues ... It's so funny to me that some kitties don't understand the auto feeder and take weeks to learn it .. mocha learned it the first time she heard it go off, she NEVER missed a meal out of that thing :lol: unfortunately she did break out in a nasty rash on her neck I think from contact with the plastic .. so now its up and outta bed for us every few hours every single night feeding her ....

101 @ +3.2. aiyee! the bean was asleep on the job, cruising the board, and missed the +3 test. kitty however did not miss the auto feed (YAY!) bad mom! anyways - he dropping, rather quickly. What a difference a day makes. :-D

devon - i remember that rash thing with mocha. wow - i never would have thought... sorry comes to mind when i think about getting up every few hours to feed... wow, you guys must really be tired. guess we all do what we have to do. they are so worth it.

that's so good to hear that mannie is using the feeder......curry will just look at the food in the after it rotates....i have to cheerlead her to the bowl to eat......

That is so cute that Mannie meows at the auto feeder until it opens. :lol: Sounds like he gets it now! Watch out! I think he's headed to the green floor today.

Hi Ele - it is. He started doing that about the time he figured this whole thing out. cracks me up.

Hi Tena - I had to do the same thing. He'd just look at it and go and sit by his bowl. :shock: omg. so alot of cheerleading. eventually he gradually started heading over to eat when it rotated. tears of joy from the bean.

Hi Michelle. :smile: Boy, I wish Checkers would pay attention to the feeder. Mine doesn't make a sound when it opens, so it wouldn't do any good to even put his favorite tuna in it.
When I got it, I put a timer next to it, but he never did catch on to the noise.

Hi Barb - yep, so glad on the feeder. Too bad Checkers won't use it - seems to be an issue with so many kitties. I'll keep hoping that he will figure it out - Checkers?: there's food in there....

Big smile about the automat! Interesting: Stu never had a problem associating it with food. But he always waited for it to open and didn't meow at it (as far as I know!!) Do Lou used his feeder for the first time today!! Must be something in the air.

Hope Mannie has a good evening cycle, too.

Hi Ella - amazing yes - huge difference between today and yesterday. Do Lou used his feeder??? Oh that is so great - I know she was so hoping he would figure it out - she only has a week before she returns to work. I'll have to visit her condo. Mannie has been so funny about this whole thing. He knows that it has food in it - it was so ridiculous - it would open and he'd look at it, and then go and wait by his bowl. :shock: thank goodness we have gotten past that. now he waits and meows... weird, but I am grateful!

Hi Miss Ella! I think Spot liked the soup - it was all gone! We had to make another batch to take to Tobey... I hope you are doing OK - are you still going for paddle trips? I saw some on TV the other day - It reminded me of you. Maybe sometime I can go with you. I Lubs you!! See you! ~~ Mannie

Hi Mannie, No paddle trips this week: it's been way too cold (with freezing rain and sleet). Today was better, but we had other stuff to do. Tomorrow I might hike. Thursday we're expecting temps. in the 20s with snow and, later, rain. I think in another week or so we'll be putting the canoes away for the winter. Next spring you can paddle with us. OK?

My civvie sister runs in it and bats it around alot - she makes snowballs. It's kinda funny. i hope you have a nice hike tomorrow. Funny thing, our kitties and those timed feeders, huh. Spot needs a personal escort to his, especially around 1:30 am and sometimes at 4:00 am. My civvies are the ones who wait for it to open, lol.

LUCKY YOU!!! We're so tired!!! Mike was up until 12:30 last night with Gracie and I was up cooling Tobey down. Now it looks like Miss Gracie means business tonight!

I'm so envious about the automat. My civvie girls have started using their little sheepskin heater things, this makes me wanna try again. I'm going to put it out right by them with the beloved FD chicken. Would you ask Mannie to call Shadow and tell her what that noise means? beautiful day for him, just lovely. a New Year's baby - what a great way to start the year. I'm guessing this is your first grandbaby? I think you told us she doesn't live too far from you. wonderful!
