I screwed up. My brain told me I was supposed to set the clock back last night, so now he's an hour late this morning. Being home all the time, the days all run together, I never know what day it is most of the time. I'm leaving his clock the way it is, it'll be right come tomorrow.

Have no idea what all is included in the cause of his amps. Tired of guessing, gave him R and antibiotic.

Re: 11/2 Lucian AMPS 406

Deb,

That amp isn't surprising given his nadir yesterday. He's bouncing. Remember what you know causes a bounce. A steep or rapid drop, going lower than they've seen in awhile. Right? Look what he did yesterday. He went from yellow to green back to yellow. He didn't do it terribly fast but that is pretty steep. You said it yourself yesterday "He's dropping like a stone. " Because it was warmer. Bounce causer number 1. Went to green at nadir which is lower than he's seen in awhile. Bounce causer number 2.

If this had been Lantus Lucian I would have expected the meter say "Good Morning Earthling" ohmygod_smile

An a bounce is why you have the R to get him off the moon so the Lev can grab hold. Ya did the right thing. :-)

So here's what I would do since we have two possible causes give the round of antibiotics. It's 10 days right? That way you rule out infection. One round if he doesn't get them very often and has never had this one before you're not going to effect his immune system much. I would also start tracking weather conditions and see if there is any correlation between certain weather conditions and the weird numbers.

If there is and it doesn't resolve after the abs then we can assume it's pain. If it's weather related pain I can tell you how I'm finding works well with Autumn. You'll get to add weatherman to your list of skills ...lol

Well if it is any consolation, Alska is right up there near Lucian. I am guessing a bounce for Alska too. I learn so much by reading Mel's posts about Lucian. She's great. Oh gosh I sure hope Lucian isn't in some pain. Alska sends head-butts to his buddy.

Re: 11/2 Lucian AMPS 406

Thanks ya'll, but today I ain't worrying about it, it'll get better. I'm miserable, got little sleep, my sinuses are kicking my a$$. I've taken so much cough medicine, on top of claritin that I feel like a junkie. Have a hard enough time with tremors and all the meds make it worse, taking stuff to counteract other stuff. @-)

Need to go to the store but trying to put it off for one more day, hoping I'll feel better. You know I need groceries when I have to cook something to eat! I never cook, I always just have stuff I can shove in my face. I'm even out of bread! Can't even have PB&J, which I live off of. Been cooking for dayyyyys. I hate it and hate the clean up. Gonna try to get motivated and do floors, hasn't been done in a week. Place is a wreck.

I've also spent the last 4 days online looking for a 'mother of the groom' dress. Selection is slim, putting it mildly. Your choices are to look like you're 90 or look like you are the bachelor party entertainment! WTH ever happened to formal clothing? Plenty of evening gowns and minis, choice of up to your wahoo or to the floor. I want a tea length formal dress for son's wedding, just below the knee. On 1 website of over 5000+ dresses, 147 were tea length. Good thing I'm not in a rush, no telling how long it will take to find the right dress. I don't expect the wedding to be anything more than semi-formal, at most. No need for floor length, but I may end up getting an evening gown and be able to use it when I take my cruise for formal dinner. I'll just feel out of place with a formal gown and everyone else being informal. I guess that's allowed though if you're one of the mom's. I dunno, between the meds and the internet, my brain has turned to oatmeal. Where's the 'crazy' smiley? We need more smileys!!

Hey Debbie

I used to sing at weddings so I can check to see what I have from back when I was skinny. I can send pictures if I find anything suitable. You can say yea or nae - you can even laugh. They are in the back of the closet somewhere. I may send you pictures. I was always a tea length gal myself. I think one of them is a mother of the bride suit. They may be so out of style too and you may not even be interested. Just throwing it out there.

Or if you can find fabric and a pattern you like you can get that send it to as I have 3 sewing machines can whip something for you.

As long as it isn't something that needs to fit like a second skin it should fit as well as something off the rack. Afterall I made my wedding dress for my own wedding. :-)

Thank you both!

@Robin..from what I've seen, the styles change very little in evening wear although the haute couture (sp) always throws crazy stuff in their collections that no one wears. With exception of the football shoulder pads of the 90's. Loved em! The fact that they made me look like a linebacker didn't matter. I also don't know what size I wear, I'm guessing 12-14 maybe? My jeans are 8, but most of my blouses are M-L or 12-14, so I figured that would be the dress size.

@Mel..I'm hoping for something in chiffon which is a real B+++h to work with. You'd hate me by the time it was done. I've done some sewing in the past, my mom was a fantastic seamstress, made her wedding gowns too, a couple of them. She could make anything but hated working with chiffon. Did a lot of satin work. They used to go to country western clubs in matching satin western shirts with jeans and boots back in the 70's-80's. They were a pair! She made them beautiful shirts. She did the embroidery too. She even made men's suits coats and made 3 pc suits for my son when he was a baby/toddler. All satin lined coats and vests. So cute! Him and grandpa had matching suits for Easter and such. :-D Clothes making is certainly a dying art. I was never that good, just got by, don't have the patience to finish what I start usually. :o

Gonna strangle Meow Meow! She puked up a hairball on my bed linens. White, which probably will not come clean. I wasn't planning to change until I went to Walmart, cause I need a new inflatable mattress for my bed. Had to anyway. Doing laundry and changing the bed was not on the agenda today. I managed to clean the kitchen and figured I'd done well, considering. ohmygod_smile At least is wasn't on my white vintage chenille bedspread, just the sheets.

With Lucian, I have to shove him off the bed if I hear him, same with Meow Meow, but with Patches, she's been shoved enough to know, Get Down! And jumps off the bed to puke in the floor every time. Good Kitty! Wish the other 2 would learn that. She less than half the age of the other 2, what's up with that? ohmygod_smile She's my smart kitty. cat_pet_icon dancing_cat

Lol yeah Chiffon is a b*tch to work with but not nearly as insane as the wedding dress I'm working on for our vow renewal ceremony..Somehow I got the crazy idea with 14 cats that I could do a white satin ball gown with beaded peacock eyes on the bodice and real peacock feathers accents on the skirt. roflmao.

You ARE ambitious!! :o

Hope his amps is better in the morning. Just remembered I gotta give the AB.

 I have my cats trained too! One flinch and they know to jump off the bed. But there were those two days this summer when I came home and found that Bing had thrown up all over my white cotton, eyelet duvet cover, along with the pillow shams and he got the white blanket and the part of the white sheet that folds over the duvet. What a mess. Two days later Brio's wound left me some blood stains. Thank goodness for that Oxy stuff and for having my own washer and dryer now. After thirty years of scrounging for quarters, I never take having my own for granted. It is a real b**ch to put a duvet cover over a king quilt by myself. It usually takes several hours and then once it is on and on the bed, then I have to iron it. Ugh... I know what a pain un-planned laundering of bedding can be. ohmygod_smile
