Doing ourselves a curve today.

Also when Harley was dx'ed 1 year ago in October he was a healthy (per vet) weight of 14lbs. He has a tummy now which he has never had so I decided to weigh him again... 18.4lbs. He has been eating a total of 4 meals a day, one every six hours, and a total of 3 (5.5oz) cans of friskies, so 16.5oz a day. I think it may be time to cut back a bit...?

That is a lot of food! A basic formula for amount of food to feed kitty is

Ideal weight X 13.5 +70 = calories a day. Divide those calories into your 4 meals a day to maintain a good weight. If you and vet thought that 14 lbs was a good weight for Harley, use that weight in the formula which would be about 259 calories a day.
