Help! He's only +3 and at 50. Feeding flaked chicken fancy feast now (low carb but not as low as other). Should I do any karo?

Carbs in food takes 20-30 minutes from the plate to the blood stream. I'd wait 30 and test again.

I had actually just tested again and he was at 48. Will test at +30 minutes after eating.

He's at 54 now, looks like food kicked in. So looks like I will follow the steps on this sticky, right? Get 2 consecutive 50s before easing up on testing etc.

Okay, I think he's out of the danger zone - at 67 now. Planning to keep food and test again in about 45 minutes unless I hear otherwise. I'm guessing I reduce his dose tonight?

Yes, the Handling Low Numbers Sticky is a good guide. Any food now should be LC. Yes, you can reduce his dose back to 1.25 units tonight.

As an FYI, unless a cat has hypo symptoms, we tend to call it low numbers, instead of hypo. Cats not on insulin can test in the 40's, it's just lower than we want cats on insulin to go.
