Good Morning, Everyone,

After Rusty's totally flat yellow day yesterday I expected to see a lower number this morning. But no. So the much-mentioned dosecrease was measured out (up a drop to a skinny 1.75 units; 2.44mm on the digital calipers, Terumo syringe). And then, of course, a FUR SHOT ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile . It must have gone right through the tent. BUMMER. My poor kitty reeks of Levemir.

Cold and snow flurries here today. A good day to stay by the radiator, and that's where Rusty is.

Well bummer on that amps, and the furshot. :? I remember a few of those: right through the tent went that needle.... I can remember so many times with Mannie, with those flat yellow cycles, hoping that it meant action. I never knew if the action would be up, or down. I got up to the pinks as often as I got down to the blues. I always wondered where was that crystal all. Good luck too with the dosecrease too. I hope it will get things jump-started for Rusty.

Enjoy your day, snow and all. I love snow flurries.... pretty! Rusty - enjoy the dunes today. Elsa is finishing up her deliveries, Lola and Bug are prepping few tuna pies for the dunes. You kitties have FUN!

Bummer about the furshot. After the last one I did, I now actually touch the other side of the tent before I press the plunger, just to make sure the needle isn't all the way through. Hopefully Rusty got a little of that juice in, but even if he didn't, he'll get back to business soon. Have a great day, Ella! Enjoy the radiator, Rusty!

Hi Ella. Bummer on the fur shot but it happens. I'm sure Rusty will do fine after tonight's shot. Good luck with the dosecrease.

Hi Ella ...I had to do some researching on a Fur Shot... hee hee hee So the needle did not hit any skin. Wow, makes me wonder if I ever had one of those with Monet since he's got so much fur :-x

Ahh.. . Snow flurries, I am so jealous :o

:roll: ON the furshot! I'm probably due for one, Tess has been doing too well lately. Anti-jinx! That's usually when I screw things up w/ a furshot! :?

Buggies are ready to roll! I even gots the para-sails ready! I hopes the wind picks up. We needs a bonfire later, it's a little chilly out there, well, at least for here. Anyone gots hot dogs? I gots the marshmallows! -- Tess

Ugh on the fur shot. It happens, but that doesn't make it any easier on a pink day. Hopefully he and Tarragon find their way down soon. Have a great day Ella!

Ugh on that furshot! As you well know, I can so relate. :roll: Rusty will recover and you get to save on pokies. I think that's what happens to me too on going through the tent. I see it go through the skin, and even put my finger behind to check it's not out, but sometimes it just seems to, or the cat wiggles. :YMSIGH: I do hate that smell.

Hope you are enjoying a good day inside. To answer your question yesterday on kangaroo meat, a number of the raw cat food manufacturers here sell it. I've also seen it in the people fuds stores, available as burgers or sirloin ($18.99 lb). Haven't tried it personally yet. It's a very red meat. Sorry to hear the canoes are away for the season. It's too early for skiing here too, although downhill is open at Whistler.

Blecht to the furshot. So frustrating. But Rusty will get over it quick I have no doubts :-D And he's probably super happy no pokie pokie! Have a good night Ella:-D

I didn't test Rusty again until PMPS, figuring he'd be up in the reds. Pleased to see that he managed to bring himself down to high yellow. Tonight we had a good shot (I think; I hope) of his new, fattened dose (1.75 skinny; 2.44mm on the digital calipers, Terumo syringe). I hope the dosecrease will get him back to his good numbers.

It was one of those cold, chill, very damp days with light snow and glowering clouds and very windy. I had a lot of errands to do and also managed to get a haircut. But no exercise! Tomorrow our group is doing a short hike through the woods, so that should be fun. Rusty spent most of the day napping in his bed by the radiator and in his basket by the radiator. He had good appetite.

Off to visit some condos before "Person of Interest" comes on.

p.s. I got my FDMB calendars today and they are great. Rusty is going to give one to his vet.
