Good day everyone! Sending my prayers out to Jill and her DH and all who need them.
Morgaine is a sweet girl who spent the night jumping in and out of the bed and cuddling and purring with me. Yes, I allowed her back into the bedroom after a 2 night ban and she really appreciated it. She did pee on the bathroom floor rather than in the LB overnight but did not do that yesterday, for the most part. The FS reads 140 for AMPS and that was actually 247 with the vet's AT and 271 from the lab, same sample used on all 3. I am thinking that the reason Morgaine doesn't pee on the floor during the day is that her BGs are better controlled than overnight. That is my theory now.
All in all, I am just so darn grateful that she is in the clear with her kidneys and that her lipidemia is much better that I can manage the floor peeing if need be. I had a yorkie years ago who never got potty trained. Tried as we may my ex and I could not get that boy to wait to be walked or let out in the yard. He would do his business, pee and poo, next to the toilet and I was always cleaning up after him. when you love them, you do what you have to do.
In reading about hyperlipidemia, I came across this treatment goal. Morgaine's trigly. were 1600 FASTING in June and now they are 480 and NOT a FASTING number, 1.5 hours after eating.
So, if i am understanding this correctly, she has met the treatment goal and her trigly. would probably be even lower if I had fasted her.

http://www.newmanveterinary.com/Hyperlipidemia.htmlThe goals of dietary therapy are to achieve a clear serum sample, a total TG less than 500 mg/dl, and a negative chylomicron test. A reasonably acceptable goal is slight serum turbidity, a TG less than 1000 mg/dl, and an incomplete "cream" layer at the top of the sample. Unless weight loss is desired, the patients should be the same as it was prior to feeding the low fat diet.
