Yesterday's condo

So much for nice low blue for the AMPS, but we'll just see how she does today. Gotta love that new dose wonkiness...LOL

Not really looking forward to today. Hurry up and waiting was never one of my strong suits, but don't have a lot of choice in the matter. Hopefully we'll get some answers today though about when we it'll be best to go ahead and move mom closer. Not having her an hour's drive away will make a big difference. With the stress of the diagnosis, plus the strain on my poor old body to keep driving back and forth, getting her back to the nursing home a mile away will be a big step in getting my life back to "normal"....well as normal as it has been in the last several months anyway.

I hope China will slide down for you today. Hopefully you can get your mom moved closer today. I'm glad she is doing better. Keeping you and your mom in my prayers.

Thanks for the visit Carla!

Wasn't good news...Mom was able to walk 300 feet yesterday without problems, and today can barely walk 50 without being really short of breath again. Her legs are swollen again along with her hands and face, so they're doing some kind of ultrasound later today to see if there might be any blood clots, but it puts moving her anywhere on the back burner for now.

The cardiac surgeon's nurse saw her yesterday and said she was about ready for discharge, but today, at the Care Plan Meeting, everyone agreed something is going on that's vastly different than what had been happening, so we're just going to have to take it a day at a time for awhile and see how it goes.

They're going to put her back on Lasix and her Synthroid (for some reason they'd taken her off of it) and say it's possible that some of this is thyroid related, but she sure looks swollen today..Not sure how much her thyroid has to do with water retention.

On better notes, China finally came down, but since I had to leave early and sit around and wait for the meeting, couldn't get any mid-cycle tests today so not sure if she's on her way up, or still coming down. Guess I'll know at PMPS!

:YMHUG: So much going on with your Mom. It would have been so nice to get her closer to you.Hopefully putting her back on those meds will make the difference. I really wish I knew something vastly knowledgeable and helpful to say to you, but all I have is my genuine compassion for all that you and your Mom are going through. I pray this is a minor setback and they can see her on her way closer to you in the short haul. A million hugs.

Chris, thought and prayers ( and hugs) for your Mom and you. Monday she really seemed like she was on her way to recovery. So sorry for the setback she is experiencing now. With all of the fluid build up it's no wonder she was not able to walk very far. Hopefully the meds will help her and today she will be better.

Glad China came down for you .... At least you were able to end your day on a positive note :smile:
