Amps:357, 4.6u

This is his best amps since mid-October. I still went ahead with the dose increase though, just because I held at 4.4 for 4 days with no real progress. I'll check him a couple times to make sure he doesn't drop too fast...I highly doubt he will. He's a stubborn little booger.
 
isn't that just the way...smallest bit of progress just before the dose crease.
YAY for simple things!
charlie does'nt appear to be a nose diver but o course you never know...crossing paws and fingers again for this dose
don't freak out if you see a good number and 'fix it' ok? :lol: :lol:
 
+1.5: 422 I checked just in case to make sure he wasn't dropping fast. Obviously he wasn't.
+5: 289

I won't be able to get a +8 today, but I'll be sure to check at 5 and 8 tomorrow.
 
he sure does get a big carb jump from breffis...or waiting for insulin to kick in. wowsie.
 
don't hold your breath hon, it's likely that his rise is partly due to no insulin onset. we will break this cat tho'. i know we will.
 
no no no,,, i mean the onset has not yet occurred. you inject the insulin and it could take 1 or 2 hours before onset...that is why frequently those +1 or +1.5 tests are not necessary. you won't see nose dive if there were to be one until like +3..
tom's experience on the 17th was amps 377 and +2.9 was 145....2.9 is 10 minutes before +3. it's a nose dive...to be watched for sure...fed low carb but not to freak out over.
his +4 (only 1 hour later) was 65....now this was too fast for my boy so i broke out just a little table spoon of 18 carb to slow the drop. if i were'nt dealing with being so sick with the flu i might have moved slower..maybe medium carb but....no big deal cause at + 4.5 66 he was just holding steady.
i was too sick to do the good mommy thing and test +5 or +6 but i think he was ok...we slept on the floor together in the sun by the glass doors in my bedroom. it was actually nice.
i never fell asleep on the floor before!
 
I fell asleep on top of my computer [under my desk] once :roll: . I've spent many nights sleeping on my office floor... When it's lights out, it's lights out!

Yikes. I haven't seen that number in a long time. I was hoping to never see another black on his ss. That low amps had me feeling a little hopeful. Silly me-I shouldn't known better!

Btw, I love sleeping on the floor in the sun. It's quite comfy, and the warmest spot in the house in the winter. Not that clevelanders see much of the sun in the winter.

Tested for ketones: negative
 
such a bummer of a number...sorry. can you catch a +4 tonight?
 
yes and considering the hour it is likely he should get at leastanother 50-80 point drop at some point tonight. who knows...maybe more.
claudia, i'm not worried about hypo at all. that's me. i just like the testing to see if we can get blue....not becuase i'm worried he'll go to low.
even when i say he may nose dive...not to a hypo #....just start going down fast.
at this point he has so far down to go and shows no particular rush to get there so.........even a nose dive would be a shocker :shock:
