11/19 Callie PMPS 71, +2.5 63, +4.5 78

Quite a dive at onset! Did you feed 35% HC??!!
Yes, I did 1 tspn 35% at +1.5. I am not even sure that she has onset yet :nailbiting: (usually it is more like +2.5.) I was thinking it could just be Callie's wild bounce clearing move. First big drop was 282 @ PM +9.75 to 173 @ AMPS.

Do you think I should give more HC and/or test before +2.5?

No. 35% is a lot of carbs! Wait till +2.5 to test and feed.
Ha, yes it is! But thankfully, Callie doesn't seem too carb-sensitive. +2.5 84

I actually started mixing the HC into her LC to make MC only because it is her old prescription hydrolyzed food that I know for sure isn't going to further aggravate her allergies. The MC I bought definitely did and we are still dealing with the after-effects :(.

I was originally giving her only like 1/8th or 1/4 of a teaspoon of the 35% HC because I was worried it was so high in carbs but I feel like that doesn't even touch her when she's barreling full speed down.

I just gave her a reg LC snack because usually she slows it down around now. We shall see...

Maybe in cycles like this morning and 11/17 PM where she is clearing a bounce, you want to feed a little higher carb at +1 and see if that prevents a dive.

I'll try that. Would you do the full teaspoon of her 35% HC added to her LC snack (usually .3 oz of raw) or less HC?

Yes. You could try it and see. It's all trial and error when it comes to experimenting with food. :)
Great, will do.

+3.5 80 - flat 2 hours after HC. Fed a tiny bit of LC. I usually test every hour when she's below 100 but I want to give her ears a little break when I can now that she's in these lower numbers more often :D (anti-jinx!)

Do you think it would be okay to feed a tiny bit more LC at +4.5 but wait to test again until +5.5?

Great numbers but a little scary today with some drops I wasn't expecting.

AM +7.5 Callie dropped to 57 on our reg human meter and 60 on AT (we are testing on both when in lower numbers as requested by the vet.) Since 60 is under the reduction point for AT, I assumed it was safest to take the reduction to 4.75 even though the human meter wasn't under 50. We shot 4.75U tonight. Hope that was right and doesn't end up messing up Callie's progress now that we are finally seeing pretty consistent good numbers.

Callie also dropped later in the AM cycle approaching PMPS and at onset tonight and at those times, AT was giving us some pretty low numbers (59, 56) - sometimes even lower than our reg meter which we had not seen before. When we got those numbers, we redid the tests and got similar results. We also tested w/ the control which was accurate so I don't think they were bad tests/strips.

I ended up giving Callie a bunch of HC and a few drops of honey throughout the day/evening. Last HC + honey was at +2.5 and Callie came up a bit and has been basically flat for two hours after. Not sure whether she'll stay flat now or if we'll have a repeat of this am and she'll drop lower/nadir around +7, +8. Making coffee just in case :coffee:...
