I did not see that coming.
So you confirm she got a reduction even being a long-term diabetic? I was going to ask, and I am glad I did not increase as I almost did a few days ago.Very dramatic Bella!
Congrats on the reduction time to come up and stay up please.
How long before you have to leave?I think I will have to miss my son's musicalI don't feel it would be sae to leave her for 3 hours. I can go, come back, test and feed her, and go back, maybe. He plays in pit and I don't want to miss the beginning and end, he has solos!

I'm leaving now, it's _+5.5 (I will test her before), and coming back in 30mn just to test and feed her, then leave again, and I could either stay there for 2 hours or come back at least once. How long before you have to leave?
She needs to come up a bit. Can you feed the MC with honey/Karo since the HC gives her tummy upset?I'm leaving now, it's _+5.5 (I will test her before), and coming back in 30mn just to test and feed her, then leave again, and I could either stay there for 2 hours or come back at least once.

Yes, I stayed there and she was OK when we came back, at 90. Now she's sleepingYou must be so relieved! Now you can enjoy your son's musical.![]()
It was great today! It was the last show, they had a lot of energy. He plays trumpet in pit, it was pop music (Emma is the musical), very funWhat a relief! How was your son's musical?

Thank you, Staci! That was only the second time she went so low. The first time she did I had no clue what I was doing, the vet did not give me clear instructions either, so this time was scarier. But I felt it afterwards, at the time I was calm and knew what to do.I’m sorry I missed all the drama yesterday. I’m glad you got to see your son do his thing in pit.
And I’m also so glad that Bella did OK, but that was very dicey for a while and you did great handling Cecil.
I hope she doesn’t go that low again for you. That was very scary![]()
I understand totally, Cecile. The vet I was working with last year when Ivy was diagnosed told me absolutely nothing about what to do.Thank you, Staci! That was only the second time she went so low. At least mine showed me how to test and give an injection, but she said a curve day each week was plenty. But at the same time to watch for hypos. How??? I landed here because I was searching how to test, because I kept missing, and I was crying, literally, because I could not get blood, and I felt so bad. I liked her a lot (my vet), and she herself admitted that she did not know much about diabetes, but then she learned more. I was sad when she retired. The new one I have is fine, but she seems to think I am a little bit crazy with all the testing. And when I asked her how to know how to give an insulin injection, she told me to google it, and find a video.
Needless to say I’ve been to two different vets since her lack of instructions, plus an internist and found myself a nutritionist.
Same with the crying. I felt so terrified and clueless (still am). But at least I can test (and install a Libre also). Things I thought I could never do!
