Zonked out at nine last night - didn't get the +5 like I wanted to. He sure is cranky. Hissed and swat at me with paw and teeth this morning while I was petting him. I have a petsitter feeding and shooting tonight since I won't be home until late. I left her a skinny 1.5u.

Guess he's wearing the pink tutu today. ohmygod_smile

Mikey's been in "a mood" these last couple of days, too. He hissed at my brother yesterday for no reason. ohmygod_smile Seasonal grumpiness, maybe?

I think they get embarrassed when they have to wear the pink tutu and it causes them to lash out because they think we are laughing at them :lol:

At least your Mikey is back in blues by the evening.

I read you profile on Henry. What a cutie. I love the part about him kissing your face at 6am and then having to have his snuggle times. I have one civvie whose lovey-dovey time is in the bathroom after the shower when I am trying to put my contacts in.

Yep, Mikey had that pink tutu on yesterday morning! I threatened him with a second test at his AMPS in the hope that I might see yellow instead, but I got another 301. Of all the times for my glucometer to be spot-on accurate.... :YMSIGH:

Henry is such a lovey-doll! He even does it to Michelangelo. He'll go and cuddle up next to wherever Mikey is at and then when Mikey wakes up, Henry will roll onto his back and stretch out all his limbs as he tries to reach for Mikey and pull him in to his face. Half time time, Mikey complies and starts grooming him. The other half the time, Mikey wants to play and will sit on him. But, when Henry is in a loving mood, even being sat on by Mikey won't deter him and he'll continue rolling about on the ground till Mikey starts cleaning him. :lol: Henry has Michelangelo all figured out and knows how to manipulate him!

I was looking at Mikey's positions with his front legs. I have a maine coon who does the same thing with her front legs. They are always stretched way out in front of her. Mikey has beautiful markings and that tail.... I will have to watch the video on my home machine

He's got the most massive, fluffiest tail ever! I stepped on a couple of the "hairs" last night when I was trying to give him his shot and he screamed bloody murder at me!
 
So I went to pick up the three one-month old kittens and their mother for fostering and there was a mix-up so I had to temporarily also take the mother with the five newborns. They gave me a cage for that family but the mother has a URI for which I have to give meds. I specifically said no meds, no sick cats but I couldn't leave them there. The agency is looking for someone with more experience with newborns. They have to be weighed and possibly bottle-fed because momma just isn't nursing them. My morning is packed enough. This is not an ideal situation. The newborns will not survive in my care :YMSIGH:

..on the other hand, I had forgotten just how rambunctious three one month old kittens could be. I won't have much of a room left. I am still kitten=proofing it. Every time I think I am done, they find something else to get into or knock over. They are really cute. I need to get pictures and bios. These poor things have never lived outside of a cage. Their tails are flipped backwards over their backs and they have not stopped running since I opened the carrier. I can't wait to see what they will do with the Christmas Tree :lol: Gotta go... I hear them tearing something up. :shock:
