Shylo seems to have decided that he no longer likes the Rad Cat. P: I'm hoping maybe he just doesn't like the turkey, so I'm gonna pick up a small tub of the chicken in a week or two and see if I can trick him into eating it again. I just got two bags of the NV raw so at least I can sneak in a little bit at a time if he decides he just wants canned food, ahaha. He lucked out and got a canned breakfast this morning and decided it was the best thing ever. P:

Just one more week on the clavamox and metronidazole... can't wait lmao. Medicating him with three different things gets old really quick and I'm still convinced they're affecting his BG.

hi emily!

that 68 yesterday was a pretty great nadir. I hope he got into some greens today too.

giving meds to cats is a special kind of fun, isn't it?! ;-) although punkin liked pill pockets so much that i could just throw a little ball of the pill surrounded by the pill pocket on the floor. he thought they were the best treats ever. In fact, just to share, i'll pull up a video of him going for them.

We'd trained him in that second one to use his paw to bat our hands and then we'd give it to him. We started by just throwing a tiny ball of empty pill pockets on the floor.

Anyway, you likely have more pills in your future, so you might try it. The Duck and Pea for dogs are safe for diabetic cats.

eta - the videos aren't showing, so i'll have to play around and see what i did wrong. I can't figure it out, so just put the links in.

Re: 11/18 Shylo AMPS 190

Thanks Julie! Unfortunately Shylo not only hates pill pockets, but all of the medication is liquid form this time around, hahaha. There are clavamox splatters everywhere from where he shakes his head after I get it in there. He's definitely gotten better since the first time I had to give him medicine after his surgery.

Gonna update the title after I post, looks like some blues and yellows for the AM cycle.

Unfortunately we had a different pet emergency today, one of the ferrets my roomie and I have together finally succumbed to the cancer he's had for a while. ): We brought him to the vet to say goodbye. It's tough, but we're trying to hang on to the thought that he's not going to be uncomfortable or in pain any more.

Thanks, I appreciate it. The others all seem ok right now a least, they've spent the last hour clearing everything off the coffee table in the loving room that didn't get put away, haha. They're so full of personality for such tiny critters... very much similar to kitties.
